Junta troops who torched thousands of houses in >20 vlgs of Sagaing's Depayin tsp from Dec 1 to Dec 12, BURNT DOWN nearly 100 houses in MaeOh vlg on Dec 10 & Dec 11, & an elderly man died in the fire. They also wrote texts threatening to burn vlgs that support PDF.

Columnist U Sithu Aung Myint who was arrested together with presenter of BBC Media Action in Yangon's Bahan tsp in August 2021, was sentenced to 7 years in prison & a fine of 10,000 MMK under Sec 124(a) on Dec 9. He's been sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison
