STATEMENT:

Selaelo Selota responds to the booking dispute involving Ringo Madlingozi

Selota claims a deposit of 50% of Mr Madlingozi's R180k booking fee was paid via Thikho Events, who managed him.

Subsequently, he alleges that they were informed that Ringo had changed management companies, all performances were cancelled and all paid amounts should be recouped from Thikho Events.

"Selota contacted Mr Madlingozi directly for clarification. Mr Madlingozi confirmed that he was now under the management of Ristar Records and advised Mr Selota to request his deposit from Thikho Events, alleging that they were holding it improperly. Mr Madlingozi further stated that his performance at the event was contingent upon Mr Selota retrieving the deposit from Thikho Events and reiterating that he would not perform without a deposit paid to his new management."
