@jk_tidwell I’m just annoyed that yet again she isn’t part of the main xmen team. Instead she is made yet again an enemy to the xmen… Getting a bit tired of them not putting her on the main team in animation/live-action movies and series even though she should be on the main team.
If they looked at winrate they would’ve nerfed Mantis at the start of the season. Or like they said they would do; monitoring and hotfixing which they did to be exact only one time in season 9 to the benefit of supports…
Meanwhile Overwatch has released a new tank who was bad on launch but recieved multiple buffs in hotfixes within the first week of release. Aswell as several characters receiving nerfs and buffs because they were either slacking off or too overpowered.
@KarkatSG double spear combo still works even on 275 heroes, and for 250 hp heroes you only have to add a melee weave in the combo. the nerf is not that bad.
There were also trading cards with “Kwannon” on them, but none of that matters because they haven’t called her Betsy or Kwannon in the serie.
She could be Kwannon adopted by the Braddock family and thus being raised with a British accent. But we know nothing other than her being called “Psylocke” and as long as the writers do not call her Betsy or Kwannon she is neither.
You're confusing "having to dive" with "being a dive character." A dive hero doesn't need to hard commit every fight; they choose when the engage is favorable. Spidey/BP are more dedicated dive heroes, but having more options doesn't stop Psylocke and Starlord from having a dive-oriented playstyle.
Psylocke and Starlord having ranged options doesn't make them poke-first characters. Their kills still come from finding angles, using mobility, bursting targets, and disengaging. That's why they're HYBRID dive characters.
I'm just repeating myself at this point. I've explained why having ranged options doesn't automatically make a character poke, but this discussion keeps coming back to the same point without addressing how these characters actually play. I'm going to leave it here and mute the thread.
You're making dive sound like a character is only allowed to interact by hard committing every time. That's not what it means. Dive is about having the tools to access targets and create favorable engagements.
Psylocke and Starlord don't just "happen to be closer when using shift/e." Their mobility is a core part of how they take fights. They use it to find (off)angles, burst targets, and escape. That's still a dive playstyle, even if they have ranged damage options.
And I already said they're hybrids, not pure divers like Spidey/BP/BC. Having more ranged flexibility doesn't make them a poke character.
@Turtz911@jk_tidwell I see why people may not like it as much. Scalphunter isn't really a very likeable character for the things he has done to say lightly. I haven't read much after the Krakoa era tbf. What does Greycrow do nowadays if he isn't with the xmen/Kwannon?
