Dr Arikana Chihombori says she is fully coming back home Zimbabwe and wishes to start Silicosis Treatment for Artisanal Miners esp those who are in the small scale mining without medical cover. She says she travelled Kwekwe her home where many young people are into mining gold and some losing lives from Silicosis. As a medical Dr she wants to start a clinic focusing on that. Having such a big vision for Zimbabwe she wishes to be assisted even by @wicknellchivayo whom she likes a lot.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one disturbed by this @ZimTreasury press statement.

143% OPC budget utilisation by mid-year and they claim, "It's not a spending spree. It's for cross-cutting strategic programmes linked to NDS2 and Vision 2030. Fine. I agree. Hospitals, agriculture, social protection these are critical.

But I have queztions;

1. Which hospitals were upgraded?
2. Which contractors got the tenders?
3. Which ministries received the reallocated funds?
4. How were beneficiaries selected?
5. Where are the receipts for these important national programs?
6. Which social protection programs benefitted?

Treasury further says, the funds will be "reallocated to respective MDAs in due course." Loosely translated to "The OPC spent the money first. Then they will tell Parliament later. To me this sound like retroactive justification.

By the time we see the books, the money is already gone and no accountability will follow. Meanwhile, line ministries are starved, and Presidential schemes get a blank cheque. We have seen the same people getting 5-6 contracts each, which they still haven't deliverer. No follow up or whatsoever🤔
