You belong to a government that's hunted and haunted your fellow Australians speaking out against Israel, censoring any and all ideological speech and smearing thousands of good people with your false 'antisemitism' labels.
Your government is responsible for the greatest witch-hunt upon the Australian people in living memory, allowing your own taxpayer funded envoy, Jillian Segal and her cohort of paranoid, mendacious Israel lobbyists, to eradicate free speech, and have artists, academics, journalists, and ordinary Australian people living in fear for their jobs and their physical safety.
Your government’s single-minded zeal to elevate the interests of the Israel lobby above any other Australian’s rights has ironically emboldened racism, created greater resentment against Jewish people and destroyed social cohesion. Yet instead of using the words your government has bludgeoned us with for 3 years now - Israel and antisemitism - now you're suddenly shrinking from the very the words you’ve been holding above Australian’s heads for so long by replacing them with the word ‘racism’ - and you think nobody will notice?
It's too late to change the words now. It's too late to try to slither into an entirely different agenda now and pretend nobody will see it.
You’ve supported a coordinated campaign of fear and censorship against your own people and yet here you are, twisting yourself into knots by pretending that somehow - all of this - all of these millions of dollars and resources and lives that have been spent hunting Australians on behalf of the Israeli government - somehow my fellow Australians, somehow this year’s long witch-hunt is now just about 'racism'.
If it was all about racism, where is our Anti-Racism Envoy? Where is our Royal Commission Into Racism? Where are our anti-racism laws? Where are the anti-racism check cards against the universities and the arts and everything else? "Yes, despite us incessantly and obviously elevating the Israel lobby above any other Australian, it’s really just been about ‘racism’ all along."
It’s not. None of it is. It’s about protecting the interests of a foreign nation, Israel, while you bow to the USA’s demands. You know it. The Australian people know it. At least have the decency to own up to that.
