Israel has effectively been indefinitely banned from hosting the Eurovision Song Contest.

The rule now states that a replacement host organises the contest "in its own right and will not be required to stage the event on behalf of another member."

So we wouldn't see a repeat of the 2023 BBC-Suspilne collaboration if this rule was activated
