Real competence for producers of media and information lies in the positive effects, traits, and benefits that users get out of using their platforms, not in how much money they can make off of their consumers.
What truly makes a responsible user is to be open-minded and at the same time cautious of the information they are consuming off of media. It is a valuable trait to be open to new knowledge and news, allowing for users to strive to learn.
