Kibo Energy (AIM: KIBO) has released an interim strategy update outlining its commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions in Southern Africa, the UK, and Ireland. The company focuses on renewable energy generation, waste-to-energy, and energy storage. It has also received preliminary approval for development funding from a Southern African development banking institution for a waste-to-energy project. The company's project portfolio includes reserve power, waste-to-energy, long-duration energy storage, and biofuel projects at various development stages.@KiboEnergy
Critical Mineral Resources plc (LSE:CMRS) has acquired 26 exploration permits in central Morocco, which are prospective for copper, antimony, tungsten, lead-zinc, and gold. CMR acquired these permits through the acquisition of Hesperis Resources SARL, a Moroccan company. These permits cover approximately 400 km² in the Rabat, Beni-Mellal, Agadir, and Errachidia administrative regions of Morocco, areas with established mining sites and infrastructure. As part of the agreement, CMR will issue 3.0 million shares to the owners of Hesperis at completion and an additional 1.5 million shares at the start of drilling. The acquisition expands CMR's footprint and exposure to critical metals and minerals.
Bradda Head Lithium Ltd (AIM:BHL), a North America-focused lithium development group, has announced final drilling results from the San Domingo Central target area in Arizona. Notable results include 7.28 meters at 1.27% Li2O, 5.18 meters at 0.88% Li2O, and 5.06 meters at 0.49% Li2O. Additionally, significant amounts of tin, tantalum, beryllium, rubidium, caesium, and niobium were found in proximity to lithium deposits. These results suggest the potential for open-pit development of lithium resources due to the shallow nature of mineralization.@BraddaLithium

UK stocks are set to open lower as Donald Trump secures the Republicans' endorsement in Iowa's presidential nomination contest, injecting volatility into trade, foreign policy, and financial markets. In Davos, European policymakers' hawkish remarks have rattled bond markets, challenging expectations of imminent rate cuts. Treasuries were shaky in Asia, and the dollar strengthened. MSCI's Asia ex-Japan share index slumped to a one-month low, led by Hang Seng's 2% drop. Today's agenda includes British labor market data, Hugo Boss earnings, a German sentiment survey, the US Empire manufacturing survey, and pre-market results from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Fed Governor Christopher Waller's speech on the economic outlook will be closely watched for its impact on rate expectations. Fed funds futures fell in Asia, even though they've already priced in about 160 bps of rate cuts for this year. Shipping disruptions in the Red Sea, with a missile strike on a US-owned dry bulker, pose a risk to the inflation outlook. Key developments include economic data releases, earnings reports, and speeches from central bank officials.
