We mourn the untimely passing of our Founder and Chairperson, Dr. Sonia Nzilani (Syomiti). A visionary leader and champion of conservation, she dedicated her life to restoring ecosystems, empowering communities, and building the Wellwishing movement from a simple act of kindness
Our sincere condolences to the family, friends and people of Makueni following the passing of Dr. Sonia Nzilani, who served as the County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Marketing, Industry, Culture and Tourism.
Her commitment to public service and her passion for environmental conservation touched countless lives. She inspired many through her dedication to the growth of the county and her efforts to promote sustainable development.
May her legacy encourage us all to work together for a greener and more prosperous future for Makueni and the nation.
Rest In Peace.
When a true visionary leader departs, the world does not merely lose a person; it loses a rare compass that once pointed toward a future most could barely imagine.
Saddened by the death of Dr Sonia Nzilani who founded @KibweziWW
May her soul Rest in eternal peace!
On 16/11/25, the Founder of the Kibwezi Center for Sustainability joined the Kaiti Greening Champions in Ukia for a powerful day of tree planting, environmental education, and uplifting local talents. Together, we are creating a greener, brighter future.
If Nairobi’s Giraffe Centre isn’t on your list yet, make it happen — entrance is only Ksh 400 for adults and Ksh 200 for kids, and you can even pick up your own seedlings while you’re there. 🌿🦒💚
Deep appreciation to the Giraffe Centre for the beautiful and healthy seedlings. Thank you for being part of the greening programme — your generosity keeps us going. We are now more than ready for Kilumilo–Mtito Andei on the 22nd.
9/11/2025, LUKENYA-Makueni county
The organizations' founder & Chairperson — also Makueni CECM for Trade, Industry, Marketing, Culture & Tourism — joined members and guests at Lukenya University for Pan African Day 2025, marking 2 years of the Pan African Institute!
To help prevent future disasters, we must all take part in protecting and restoring our environment — by planting more trees, conserving forests, and promoting sustainable land use. Take advantage of the rainy season and plant now! 🌱
We are deeply saddened by the recent mudslides that have claimed lives, displaced families, and destroyed property in parts of our country. 💔
Kibwezi Wellwishers extends heartfelt sympathies to all those who have lost their loved ones and livelihoods during this tragic event.
As we reflect on this tragedy, it’s important to remember that one of the major causes of mudslides is human activity, particularly deforestation and logging, which weaken our soils and slopes. 🌳
