I recently had the wonderful opportunity to share lunch with Chief golf alums, Nick & Hector, who flew in from Spain to surprise his “brother from another mother” 😃. Hector picked Texas Roadhouse because of the rolls. LOL. It was great to catch up with these awesome young men.

Nick had a great learning experience and also played well during his first semester of college classes and golf.

2025 KHS Golf Team grad, Nick Thompson now plays for the Evangel Valor. This week he had his best college tourney so far in the MO State Golf Tourney at Millwood. In a field loaded with D-1 golf teams, Nick finished 21st out of 48 players. 71-77-74=222

Chief golfer, Ethan Bartels kicked a last second field goal tonight to lift the Chief JV football team to a 9-6 victory over Ozark. Way to go Ethan and the rest of the Kickapoo team. Go Chiefs!!!
Continuing to improve this fall as he learns the ropes of the college game, KHS 2025 grad, Owen Jump ended the Drury fall season with his best tournament finish so far. Congratulations OJ.

Former chief golfer, Owen Jump qualified for his first college tournament. He represented Drury University and traveled to Indiana last week and played well.
He joined his former KHS Chief teammate, Gaige Lewis in this Tournament.

The Chief golf alums are busy this fall. Garrett Catlett is attending school in France this semester and took some time to travel to Austria and golf near the Alps.
Owen Jump and Gaige Lewis are preparing to play a qualifying round to travel for the Drury golf team.

Chief golfers jr. Caleb Kim and sn. Brady Powers were in KC this week playing in a Hurricane Jr. Tour event. They tied each other for 3rd in a field of 35 golfers, shooting 5-over par 149 in the 36 hole event. They were only 2 shots out of first. Congratulations men & Go Chiefs!
Golf is an activity for the entire family. Recent Kickapoo Golf graduate, Beau Benton was getting in a round of golf with his grandfather yesterday, before he heads off to college. Beau sank a nice putt for birdie on the 18th hole!!! Good luck Beau and Go Chiefs!!!
Chief senior Brady Powers finished off his first ever 3-day AJGA event today. His scores were 78-79-and today a wonderful 75 to finish 43rd at Buffalo Ridge CC for a total of 232.

Chief incoming freshmen Max Sutton & Jaden Tang played well at the Rivercut Jr. Tourney.
Max tied for first with a 75 & Jaden shot 80, for 11th place.
