@Artists_Ali It’s not totally the same because smoking is a behavior, but there are parallels. The barely masked contempt for the people they were supposedly trying to help. The idea that there is moral strength to “fixing the problem” the right way (must involve suffering)

@Artists_Ali I used to do advocacy for vaping (before everyone knew about it). It was pretty demoralizing. Smoking is very harmful, but a lot of the public health leaders I encountered seemed to HATE smokers. And they weren’t that interested in harm reduction. The message was quit or die.

@Artists_Ali Like, the idea that people could still get nicotine without the extremely harmful effects of combustion was offensive. If they couldn’t give up nicotine then they deserve to die.

@ChrisKPolansky I know we are supposed to stan Sonic ice, but Braums ice is legit. Also, Braum’s can do a cherry limeade, but anything ice cream related at sonic is gross.
