One thing I’ve accepted while building F.I.:
A lot of people are going to judge it using the same framework they use for every other project, and that’s probably going to lead to some confusion.
Because I didn’t build it around many of the assumptions people have come to expect:
Some will love it.
Some will hate it.
And I’m fine with that. I’d rather create something different enough to be polarizing than something forgettable enough to be universally accepted.
We’ll find out soon enough whether that resonates.
Custom launchpad gets my vote here. OpenSea’s is great for unknowns who need the exposure boost. But @hollows_nft already has the reach and demand IMO. So you can skip the inheriting SeaDrop standards for you contract and own the full mint experience on your own site.
Either way, I can’t wait to mint and hold my Hollow. 🕳️👀
Same energy I’ve got on my end with an idea that came to me in 2022 that has taken all of my spare time since to learn how to dev myself. Now I’m at a stage where it’s complete EXCEPT for revamping the artwork, since I’ve grown and gotten better since creating the original art.
Can’t wait to mint my @hollows_nft ser!
@Mimicreation_ Thanks, Mimi!
And exactly.
When everyone is optimizing for broad appeal, you end up with a lot of things that feel slightly different but are fundamentally the same.
I’d rather take the risk of being wrong than the certainty of being forgettable. 🤝

@thepropgallery I just like art and want to collect it in any form that catches my eye. :0
Digital, physical, on-chain, scribbled on a napkin… whatever’s clever.
@Mimicreation_ Can’t say much yet 🤫 but its initials are F.I. and I’m pretty confident in saying it will be some of the most unique and usable art you’ve ever seen.
Me: “The MVP is ready. Time to launch.”
Also me: spends another two weeks adding features because “… but what if it could do THIS too?”
Scope creep is very real.
But considering I was quoted $120k+ to build this and ended up developing it myself, I can’t complain too much.
No rush. I’d rather launch with as much value packed into the product as I can.
Tossing you a follow not only because I love your art, but also because after a brief scroll of your profile I can see the effort you put into creating artwork submissions for numerous projects.
Even if I weren’t a fellow artist and didn’t understand the time and mental real estate it takes to do so, I’d still respect it. :]
If you’re interested at all when it comes time for me to launch what I’ve been building, you’ve already earned GTD for yourself. 🤜🤛
Keep it up, and regardless of whether you and I ever interact again I wish you all of the best in this life my friend. ^__^
@thepropgallery Take me back to ‘99 please! The very first 1st edition pack I ever opened had a Charizard in it. I traded it to the shop owner for $100 cash and a sealed (non 1st edition) booster box. Seemed like a good deal to 12 year old me. 😅
Founding a project in crypto is not for the weak of heart. Most people do not enjoy being watched while they work - this is being watched while you work but by thousands of people that are also simultaneously sharing their opinions as to why you’re wrong and stupid. You can dedicate your whole life to this, create entirely new asset classes, bring forth millions in value and still people who have built nothing will film themselves explaining why you’re an idiot scammer.
This isn’t a unique experience to Luca, this is seen across the entire roster of builders we have in crypto. You’re damned if you do, and you’re damned if you don’t. If you have the fortitude to survive public scrutiny that never relents, only then consider dedicating yourself to building things here.
Criticism and constructive debate is essential in a burgeoning industry with not much of a blueprint. What is more prevalent than that though, is entitled people believing they’re owed more than could ever be given to them, speaking through a lens fuelled by scarcity mindset and greed. If builders catered only to them - we’d burn what is left here to the ground in the pursuit of keeping everyone happy.
Anyway GM.
@thepropgallery Every. Single. One.
Lol. Fr though when you actually have them in front of you the art for Gyrados and its scene stand out above the rest.
@maccurated@Ai420a12 Followed fam. When it comes time to launch my product, it’s collectors and art appreciators I want minting. Not people looking to make lunch money. 🤜🤛
@AdamWeitsman@beeple@eli_schein First off, this piece is amazing! But what really got my attention was the “Carl Sagan house restoration project” part… 👀
Not sure how I didn’t hear about it until now, but major respect for buying and working to restore the property, Adam!
Every day the build gets tighter.
More refinements locked in. More edge cases eliminated. More infra battle tested.
What started as an idea is rapidly becoming a viable product.
Brick by brick.
Soon.
