🕊️📜 The Pope They Never Expected – and the One Who Changed Everything
In 1958, cardinals elected a "transitional pope", an old man with a soft voice and no ambition
They thought he’d keep things quiet, preserve tradition, hold the line
Instead, he called the Second Vatican Council — and shook the Church to its core
This is the story of Pope John XXIII, the man who was never supposed to make history 🧵👇
I can imagine few things more embarrassing as a goalie than being caught so far off the line like that. What was Canada's goalie doing? 😳#CopaAmerica2024#CANMNT#soccer
@herculezg And their coach was out there blaming the ref post game. Honestly, there needs to be some personal accountability here... It was beyond unnecessary and 100% contributed to the loss.
Frustrating loss for the #USMNT. A goal disallowed within the first five minutes. Unnecessary red card right after that. Playing down a player basically the whole match was too much to overcome for them. Here's hoping they can perform Monday...
It's #TeacherAppreciationWeek and when we when we elevate one, we elevate all!

Our high school Inupiaq Language class walked through the hallways today drumming, singing, and dancing. I am thankful my students can celebrate who they are. It's hard to imagine schools not uplifting and them, in fact doing the opposite and punishing them for their culture.
Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! I have the immense honor of living and teaching in the longest continuously inhabited community in North America. Today is a reminder to celebrate the strength and beauty of this community and others who have persevered through assimilation efforts.
