No one in Ukraine has ever even remotely considered Hungary or Hungarians to be an enemy. No one has ever intended to send Hungarian soldiers to any war, or to take away Hungarians’ weapons, money, or anything else.

On the contrary, Ukraine, which is holding the line and successfully fighting, is containing and strategically weakening an aggressive Russia, thereby keeping the war and the threat far from Hungary’s borders.

All we have ever needed is for the head of the Hungarian government, unlike Orban, to focus on Hungary -- not engage in open collaboration on the side of the Kremlin in this war, and not systematically undermine Europe’s defense efforts, including by blocking sanctions against the Kremlin and European economic and military support for Ukraine that's fighting a vastly stronger aggressor.

Everything else is for Hungarians to decide, and it does not concern us.
