Als een links iemand zich zorgen maakt over het klimaat, wil hij fossiele auto's, vliegreizen en vlees voor iedereen anders verbieden, protesteren voor fabrieken en eisen dat de staat de verandering afdwingt.

Als een rechtse zijn kinderen een goede schoolopleiding wil geven, verhuist hij naar een buurt met goede scholen, kiest hij een privéschool of zet hij zich zelf in.
Als een links iemand zijn kinderen een goede schoolopleiding wil geven, eist hij meer belastinggeld van iedereen, gelijke resultaten voor iedereen, een verbod op vrijescholen en protesteert hij tegen elke vorm van verschil.

Als een rechtse klaagt over zijn baan of werkplek.. dat doet hij niet. Hij verandert van baan of start zijn eigen bedrijf.
Als een links iemand klaagt over zijn baan – dan ligt het aan de baas, het bedrijf of de collega's. Hij eist een collectieve overeenkomst, staking, veranderingen voor de hele buurt en protesteert tegen het bedrijf zodat het hem past.

Als een rechtse ontevreden is met zijn huis of huur, verhuist hij, renoveert hij of koopt hij iets anders.
Als een links iemand ontevreden is met zijn huis of huur, eist hij een huurstop, meer subsidies, reguleringen voor iedereen en protesteert hij tegen verhuurders en politici.

Als een rechtse faalt in een zakendeal of een investering die mislukt, staat hij op, klopt het stof af en probeert hij het morgen opnieuw.
Als een links iemand op de 24e geen geld meer heeft, geeft hij de rijken de schuld dat ze te veel hebben en meer moeten bijdragen, geeft hij de loterijwinst de schuld die vorige week niet binnenkwam en moppert hij dat hij zo'n pech heeft.

Det fina med EU:s demokrati är att om man röstar ”fel”, så ändrar topparna bara reglerna och röstar igen tills det blir rätt.

EU-topparna använder just nu en "extraordinär hastprocedur" för att tvinga fram en ny omröstning om ”Chat Control”, nu på torsdag. Förslaget innebär i klartext massövervakning genom automatisk skanning av alla medborgares privata meddelanden, chattar och bilder. Att de medvetet väljer att lägga en så avgörande omröstning när bänkarna gapar tomma och folk har checkat ut för semester, är ett rent demokratiskt haveri. EU-parlamentet har redan sänkt det här förslaget flera gånger, men EU-ledningen vägrar helt enkelt att acceptera det demokratiska beslutet.

När @MartinSonneborn nu försökte påpeka i talarstolen att den här hastproceduren faktiskt bryter mot EU:s egna regler, så stängde talmannen helt sonika av hans mikrofon. Det säger allt om hur desperata de är.

Seriöst, vad har det blivit av EU egentligen? Kan de inte bara återgå till den handelsorganisation den en gång i tiden var tänkt att vara?

Vu que c’est une vidéo en anglais et que beaucoup de Français ne sont pas à l’aise avec, je vais prendre le temps de décortiquer cette interview de George Soros sur 60 Minutes (1998) que Elon Musk a repostée.

Parce que ce qu’il dit est absolument catastrophique quand on le relie à ce qu’il a fait ensuite avec sa fortune. Masterclass sur un mindset et son impact réel.

Dans l’interview, on lui reproche d’avoir contribué aux effondrements financiers en Thaïlande, Malaisie, Indonésie, Japon et Russie. Réponse : « All of the above. »

Puis il assume clairement : « I am basically there to make money. I cannot and do not look at the social consequences of what I do. As a competitor, I’ve got to compete to win. »

Traduction : « Je suis fondamentalement là pour faire de l’argent. Je ne peux pas et je ne regarde pas les conséquences sociales de ce que je fais. En tant que compétiteur je dois gagner. »

L’interviewer demande lequel des deux Soros il est : l’amoral ou le moral. Réponse : « It’s one person who at one time engages in amoral activities and the rest of the time tries to be moral. » Une seule personne qui fait des trucs amoraux à certains moments et essaie d’être moral le reste du temps.

Sur son enfance pendant l’Holocauste (il avait 14 ans à Budapest en 1944, juif survivant en se faisant passer pour chrétien) : il a accompagné un fonctionnaire qui l’hébergeait et a assisté à des opérations de confiscation de biens juifs. Il dit n’avoir ressenti « no feeling of guilt » (aucun sentiment de culpabilité). Il compare ça aux marchés : si ce n’était pas lui, quelqu’un d’autre l’aurait fait de toute façon. Il se voyait comme spectateur.

C’est glaçant à entendre, même en tenant compte du contexte d’un enfant en pleine occupation nazie qui survivait comme il pouvait. Mais le vrai fil rouge, c’est cette philosophie assumée : je ne regarde pas les conséquences sociales quand je gagne l’argent.

Parce que ce même homme a ensuite donné plus de 32 milliards de dollars via ses Open Society Foundations pour façonner activement la société.

Il finance massivement des ONG, des mouvements progressistes de gauche, des réformes judiciaires, des causes sur l’immigration et le multiculturalisme. En 2015-2016, il a écrit publiquement qu’il fallait que l’Europe fixe un objectif de 300 000 à 500 000 réfugiés par an, avec des dizaines de milliards d’euros de financement commun, en traitant les frontières nationales comme « l’obstacle ».

Des centaines de millions vont chaque année à des groupes d’activisme, des procureurs progressistes, des campagnes sociales et politiques qui transforment les pays sans passer par un mandat électoral direct.

Voilà la contradiction catastrophique :

« Je ne regarde pas les conséquences sociales » quand il s’agit de spéculer et d’accumuler.

Mais il dépense des dizaines de milliards pour imposer précisément des conséquences sociales à grande échelle — ouverture des frontières, multiculturalisme poussé, réformes sociétales — en toute impunité démocratique. Un milliardaire non élu qui pèse plus lourd que bien des gouvernements sur ces sujets.

C’est ça le vrai sujet. Pas besoin de déformer 1944. Ses propres mots de 1998 et les 32+ milliards déployés depuis parlent d’eux-mêmes.

On juge l’homme sur ce qu’il dit et surtout sur ce qu’il fait.

Every country or jurisdiction that has actually examined the evidence for paediatric gender medicine, seriously and rigorously, has changed course.

Different healthcare systems. Different political landscapes. All reaching the same conclusion: this experiment cannot be allowed to continue.

17 systematic reviews have all concluded that the evidence for this treatment protocol is low to very low quality.

And yet Canada’s federal and provincial governments — with the exception of Alberta — still fail to act.

The time for looking the other way is over.

Yes, the people who call themselves 'trans' exist and they deserve exactly the same rights as everyone else, which, fortunately, they already have in the UK. It would rightly be considered discrimination if a person was refused employment, housing or the vote because they identified as trans.

'Trans women are women' is a thought-terminating cliché. Men are not women. That doesn't mean they're not allowed to present themselves however they like, call themselves whatever they like and believe whatever they like about themselves. It means they haven't changed sex.

If we replace the objective, observable characteristic of sex with the unfalsifiable concept of gender identify, women and girls lose, among other things, their right to fair and safe sport and women-only spaces, including changing rooms, prison cells and rape crisis services.

Women and girls are provably more vulnerable to forms of abuse including sexual assault, harassment and voyeurism in mixed-sex spaces. There is no evidence that trans-identified men don't have exactly the same rates of criminal offending as all other men.

Trans people exist. I have no desire for them not to exist; indeed, I wish them safety, happiness and health. However, 'existence' does not, and should not, mean the violation of other people's right to privacy, dignity and freedom of speech, or the reconfiguration of society to indulge a fallacy.

🚨📣 New FSU Member Testimonial: Ace North

Dr Ace North spent nearly 15 years as a research scientist in Oxford’s biology department.

He became concerned when Equality, Diversity and Inclusion displays appeared in his workplace promoting gender identity ideology — including claims that sex is on a spectrum, not a binary.

As a biologist, Ace believed these claims were scientifically misleading and inappropriate in an academic setting — especially as they were presented in a way that discouraged challenge.

Inspired by an interview with Richard Dawkins, Ace responded by adding a quote offering a critical perspective. Over time, he added further quotes from well-known gender-critical figures.

The department later described the stickers as “defacement” and “hateful”, warning staff of disciplinary action if the individual responsible was identified.

Ace was eventually identified and met with HR. No formal sanction was issued, though he was instructed to stop.

We supported Ace by writing to the Head of Department, seeking assurances on free speech neutrality and recognition that gender-critical beliefs are protected under the Equality Act 2010.

Over 40% of the cases we handle involve individuals penalised for holding gender-critical views.
