@EricSal_7 Why would you give up a foul, it's a 3v5 scenario and you are on the verge of trapping the ball handler, 2 guys from NY were still on the backcourt, 6 sec left and you gave up a foul letting them reset the game. Knicks were scrambling so did the Spurs.

I’ll never forget watching the Spurs break into the Finals in 1999 on the road in Portland.

After so many years of heartbreak.

I was 13.

I was superstitious as hell (still am).

For road games the entire playoff run starting game 3 in Minnesota, I stood on the couch the entire time, TV muted, locked in on Jay Howard calling it on 1200 WOAI.

Didn’t move except for timeouts.

Fast forward 27 years.

I’m 40 now, watching this Wemby era carve its place in history and in the 4th quarter, I look over at my daughter.

There she was.

Standing on the couch.

The whole quarter.

Screaming go Spurs go.

Man.

Full circle doesn’t even cover it.

This city.

This team.

Love it so damn much.
