While we are making some progress, the expatriate citizens of almost every other country in the world--including autocracies like Russia, China and Eritrea--are better off than American citizens living abroad.

The path to change will take us longer than 90 minutes, but Rep. Darin LaHood has already made a good start with the Residence-Based Taxation for Americans Abroad Act, currently under review in Congress.
