It’s time to start sending our emails to @Sflecce and @fordnation about getting back to normal semesters for our secondary kids. These 2.5 hour classes are brutal for kids and teachers. The province is going back to normal but our kids are still forced to suffer through..Enough!

@MrsPetrusa @krushowy @TorontoStar @fordnation The minister of post secondary education told universities they could run fully in person. They are private institutions and can do whatever they want. Not that I ever defend @fordnation and they could have announced that earlier, but it doesn’t really matter.

Students, teachers and parents are telling us we need to revert to traditional semesters for Term 2. Last week, @aarts_michelle and I moved an advocacy motion in support of @OPSBA's call for local determination on schedules. Unanimous support @ committee, on to board Wednesday!

@OPSBA has written a letter to @Sflecce @fordnation @ONeducation ask for second semesters go back to regular semesters for our secondary kids. Modified semesters, quadmesters do not work. Time is running out, decisions need to be made soon.

@torontolindsay Explain that to the kids and their parents who are currently in rehabilitation hospitals after losing the ability to walk and talk due to covid complications. I’ve seen them and worked with them and it is devastating.

84 percent of Toronto’s 12+ have their first dose and 78 percent are fully vaccinated and still they can’t go to an outdoor football practice, soccer game, field trip??? @epdevilla @TDSBDirector We got vaccinated to return to some normal so give them some normal!!

@TDSBDirector @epdevilla Why are students in Toronto’s public schools not allowed to have extracurriculars and sports when private schools down the street from them are? At the very least, kids in schools who are 12+ should be able to safely do this. TO peeps….be heard now!
