If you don’t know how to use Claude code, start today
The amount of leverage a single individual can accrue is insane
We will soon live in a two tier society
Those whose are ‘AI enabled’ at the top
And everyone else at the bottom
The disparity is only going to compound and grow with time
Your model only needs to tell you if buyers or sellers are in control
Literally that simple
The less confluences needed the better
No need to complicate it like most do (including myself previously)
@IamM3mphis@Topstep@Tradeify@tradecopia It really as simple as looking at who is where you want to be - and then reverse engineering and doing what they do
Congrats
A genuinely good edge is by far the most important variable
It can still carry you even if you fail at everything else (which you won’t unless you’re a total beginner)
Literally everything else is secondary to having a genuine edge
You might not be a bad trader, your edge just might not be that good …
Moral of the story:
SPEND MORE TIME FINDING AND REFINING YOUR EDGE
(what I’m currently doing)
The hardest part of trading?
It’s not discipline
It’s not psychology
It’s not risk management
It’s having an actual edge
My little brother started paper trading 3 weeks ago (I started teaching him in Dec)
Results: Consistently positive
His confession to me:
“I make mistakes every day”
“I don’t follow the system 100%”
“When I break the rules, I lose”
“But I’m still profitable each week”
That’s what a real edge looks like
It wins DESPITE imperfect execution
Like a pro athlete having an off day but the team strategy carries the win
That’s what you need
An edge so strong it survives your human errors
Not flawless execution of a losing strategy
Without an edge:
Your discipline is wasted
Your psychology work is pointless
Your risk management protects nothing
My brother has mediocre discipline and makes money
You have perfect discipline and lose
The difference?
He has an edge
You don’t
Stop optimizing execution on a losing strategy
Build an actual edge first
Then your discipline will matter
Absolutely
Even without a payout - if you know your win rate and how many times per week your model presents
You can extrapolate and plot out:
- how many trades to pass an eval
- how many trades to payout
- appropriate size required at each stage
- how long this will all take
- how long this will all cost
- what return you’ll get
I’ve only recently started thinking like this
It literally is just a numbers game that relies on you executing properly
And the extra juice you can squeeze out comes from refinements that:
- Increase win rate
- Increase frequency
The whole thing is a system - you need to identify where in the chain you have weak links and fix them
Then the whole thing runs smoothly
This is objectively the correct mental model for props
But you can only have the confidence to blow through challenges like this to reach payout IF you know your numbers and IF you don’t take random trades outside your model which skew the stats
High r:r also supports this approach massively
You’re a prop trader and not tracking your stats?
You’re playing, not building
Example of mid stats:
• Avg 1 payout per account
• Avg $3k payout
• $800 in eval costs before payout
That’s $2,200 profit per account
The stats prove it works
Now SCALE
Most don’t run this like a business
That’s why most stay broke
