Well, back from blog hibernation, here I am sharing that accessibility is a superpower we should all embrace!
Grab a cup of your favourite drink and (hopefully) enjoy the reading ☕️📖

@TommieMaido @awscloud@tailwindcss Uhhhh, that sounds like such a lovely Sunday 🥰 for me this Sunday was all about cappuccino, pastries and trying to stay away from pc 👀
🌈 The series of blog posts on making the web more inclusive continues! (I'm surprised as you are)
This time is about making accordion easier, featuring <details> !💛

Today I’ve just discovered Thenables object in JS 🤔 which, as far as I’ve understood, are object with .then method implemented.
But what’s the difference with Promises?😭
<button> and <div role="button"> are not equivalent
The button element has a lot of inbuilt behaviour that is not automatically added by using role=button on a div
To make a div behave like a button you're going to need to do extra work
99% of the time <button> is best
Time passed, tiredness accumulated and here I am again with my a11y obsession and an article on creating alt-text for images!
I may not be the loudest voice, but I believe in the power of inclusivity! Let's ensure no one's left behind on the internet💛

@82tuskers That’s a very good tips, thanky! As usually happens when learning a new language you always try to compare with the one you know a bit better 🤣 in this case is probably doing more harm than good😅 thank you!
@82tuskers Thanky so much for the offer 🧡 I appreciate it! probably I just need to push through the confusion 🤔 and as you suggest stop trying to find common grounds with JS 🤣
@amazinernest Awwwww thanky for the sweet support and encouragement 🧡 you’re right, probably I just need to learn how to surf confusion and keep pushing 🫶🏻
I don't know what happened to me, but I've published the 3rd article in a row about accessibility!🪩
This time is a bit specific for a side step component, useful when we might have a form with different steps and want to allow the user to navigate them!
