@DanDowner3@stevecutsdocs@Avid@MediaComposer I would. Having used MC most days since ‘94, I finally got away from it 6 months ago. Exclusively FCP now, it’s superb. Even large scale collaboration is possible, if you use Post Lab, from Hedge.
@rafaelludwig@chrisatlatenite Yup otherwise the skimmer doesn’t work, one of the first things I learned. Also since there is no mapping for Deselect All, I put that on CMD Z, as a kind of tribute to never having to manually save 😀
This is pretty massive news for Final Cut Pro Editors.
The upcoming @hedgeforvideo PostLab will be able to do event sharing/locking. You'll be able to check-in and check-out individual events, and PostLab will create a new placeholder library. Wow.

@DanSvoboda@wplate@baezfelipe The act of typing a keyword into FCP embeds that story beat in my mind. The problem is how to make that somewhat subjective thought universal for everyone, so they remember too?
@editblog @SantiagoEnSMA @MediaComposer “No clips were relinked, you might like to try…” and yet there’s a new sequence with “relinked” at the end. You double click it with excitement, only to be greeted with red and media offline.
@restlesspix Metadata tags like range-based keywording are very powerful, especially in FCP, but they are islands and if you don’t have a MAM, folders remain an effective means of media management. Whilst the media paths remain absolute too, I don’t see things changing.
An interesting take on the future of Final Cut Pro. Well worth your time. Watch the adverts too.
Videos that have all this thought put into them deserve some sort of payment to their writers and makers. @matthewTobrien deserves your support.

@fborocyclist We have a contra flow cycle lane near us. It’s horrendous, a kerb divides you from on coming traffic and you can’t see at night because of oncoming headlights. But if you don’t go on it the motorists go crazy
@marcplanb @Vordio PostLab is an Elastoplast of a solution, the Library container is too big, concurrent working is tough, even with merge X, as the metadata diverges. Gets really messy when you are staring at that Browser stack, with a couple of almost identical Libraries open.
