👨🏻‍💻 Seen some confusion around how @BlackholeDEX veBLACK holders and LP participants will qualify for the veNOVA airdrop; let’s get to the bottom of it

💬 Thought it best to start with direct quotes from @EllioTrades recent vid; sometimes it helps to actually read what he stated verbally, then we’ll break it all down:

“This project is being given out completely free to the people who hold veBLACK, the token burners from Blackhole, so if you burned your BLACK and you hold veBLACK, congratulations, you will soon hold veNOVA.”

“So if you hold veBLACK, congratulations, you don’t just hold one DEX you now hold two.”

“And for those looking to maximize their exposure to Supernova, we are rolling out a points program called Warp Speed.”

“During the Warp Speed season [which kicked off yesterday], any BLACK that gets burned, and any liquidity added to eligible pools will not only give you yield from the Blackhole protocol, but it will also get you something called Nova points, which will eventually translate into more ownership of the Supernova protocol.”

“To be clear, Warp Speed is a supplementary program in addition to the veNOVA that you’ll already be entitled to if you hold veBLACK.”

👨🏻‍💻 Summarizing:

🅰️ If you hold veBLACK, you’re good, you’ve already qualified for a veNOVA airdrop, presumably at some ratio of veBLACK to veNOVA, maybe 1:1 for example

👉 Notice he does not say $NOVA airdrop, he says, “you will soon hold veNOVA”, that is, voting power which generates protocol fee share

👉 There has, so far, been no mention of a liquid NOVA token airdrop; perhaps the veNOVA you get will somehow qualify you for a separate NOVA airdrop, if there will be one

🅱️ Nova Points and the corresponding Nova Points Dune Dashboard represent a completely separate enhancement to veNOVA airdrop qualification; points will in some fashion amplify your allocation for the veNOVA airdrop

🧮 So, how do you get Nova Points?

⏱️ Effective beginning 2025-Dec-09 12:00 PM UTC, these are the point qualifiers:

1️⃣ Burning BLACK to mint or increase Supermassive veNFTs

👉 Every 1 BLACK burned to create or increase a Supermassive veNFT earns 1 Nova Point

2️⃣ Earning BLACK emissions from eligible LP pools on Blackhole

👉 Every 1 BLACK emission you earn from Nova‑eligible liquidity pools grants 1 Nova Point

👉 Only pools explicitly marked as “Nova Points Eligible” will count

🔑 Note that your entitled veNOVA allocation derived from your pre-existing veBLACK is not accounted for in the Nova Points leaderboard; these are two separate metrics

🤝 After fielding dozens of questions from the community on my thread yesterday, here are some takeaways I’ve learned since then

🚫 First off though, note I’m not associated with the project, just a fan, and you should not treat this as official info, I could easily be misunderstanding key concepts as this is a brand new protocol

👨🏻‍💻 But here’s my take based on all available info at this time

⏳ About the Epochs

🔹“Epoch 0” is ongoing now, but it’s a kind of special launch Epoch that will last only 24 hours, first rewards apparently being claimable at the end of this period

🔹Epoch 1 and following will always be one week in duration, kicking off Thursdays at midnight UTC (Wednesday nights for Western Hemisphere, essentially)

🔹NOTE: Every Epoch has a period when you can’t vote or perform other functions

🔹This is the operations period and it begins one hour before the end of the Epoch, and lasts another one hour into the next Epoch

🗳️ About Voting - here are at least three basic strategies, many will have more ideas and strategies ofc

1️⃣ Strategy One: Wait until the end of the Epoch— but not the very end, remember the operations period (as long as before the final hour)

🔹See what pools seem to be settling out as having the best rewards & incentives, and cast your vote then, as there’s no proration or time-weighting for votes within the Epoch based on the protocol’s design

🔹At least from taking a direct interpretation of the docs, and confirmation from Grok, it seems you get the same amount as if you had cast your vote at the start of the Epoch

2️⃣ Strategy Two: Vote early on your favorite pair(s) because this directs more emissions, deepens liquidity, boosts trading volume & fees, and actually puts your governance power to work for that pair

🔹Strategy Two is great for people who have high conviction on a particular token pair or pairs

🔹Note you can simply leave your vote on your favorite pair(s) at the start of the next Epoch and it will carry over without any action on your part

3️⃣ Strategy Three: Whale approach, accumulate 100k BLACK tokens

🔹Those who burn 100k or more BLACK tokens with their Supermassive veNFT unlock special superpowers

🔹If this seems out of reach, note that you can add your own BLACK rewards to your Supermassive position for a compounding effect at any time

🔹These mega-Supermassive holders (my term) get automatic smart-voting, a killer passive optimization with an algo selecting highest-yield pools for you

🔹Ultimate set-it-and-forget-it strategy if you have the means to get there
