Working 8 hours a day doesn’t sound that bad until you realize it’s never just 8 hours. There’s the unpaid time, the 2 hour commute, the energy you spend before work, the recovery afterward, and the version of yourself that’s too exhausted for anything else.
"Damn you're never stressed at work"
That is because I literally do not care what the outcome is. The company could go bankrupt, the building could get demolished, and I'd just head home
I honestly feel like workdays should be 10am–3pm or 9am– 2pm. There’s no reason for people to spend most of their lives at work. Let people go home and have time for their families, partners, friends, and rest. That’s why everyone is so miserable today.
Some of you take these jobs way too seriously. No job is worth snitching on coworkers, skipping breaks, coming in on your days off, working unpaid overtime, or refusing to use your PTO or call out. Especially not for dead-end jobs with zero room for growth.
“No one wants to work anymore” because there is no reward. Half of us are living paycheck to paycheck. No saving for retirement. No saving for a house.
Straight up two paychecks away from living on the street.
