Although @SyracuseSchools have moved to distance learning in an effort to keep our communities healthy, we want to share what our @mckinleySCSD team was up to before the closures. Our Data Wall is waiting by the front door for students, staff, and visitors when they return!

@Bellevue_El knows saving energy is a team effort. The #KiloWatch team has been monitoring energy waste in their classrooms since December and found only 1 instance of computers left on in empty classrooms. Big thanks to the teachers who model #energyconservation every day!

Back in the classroom, students used what they'd seen to diagram how heat is made and distributed throughout their school.

Earlier this week, our students at @mckinleySCSD got a chance to visit the school's boiler room and learn about how the heating system works. #KiloWatch is all about developing a practical understanding of where energy comes from and how it is used!
