A beautiful day to be out in the community on Saturday.☀️ Kilsyth On Call crew, and Community Safety Advocate Helen, were at Kilsyth Civic Week and had a great time speaking to families about fire safety and showing them the fire appliance and equipment🙂🚒
It’s important to talk to children about their safety if they are playing near the water. They should never swim in an unsupervised area like lochs, rivers or pond where there isn’t an adult to help if they get into trouble.

Another busy week for Kilsyth! We’ve been out every day this week so far. We have been called out 10 times in the past 3 days to a mixture of AFAs, Dwelling and Flooding incidents.

🚨Crew then diverted again en route back from incident to pump water from main road and to assist police in traffic management!
Bonus points for assisting SAS en route to an incident!

🚨Crew then diverted on route back to an unstable building due to flood water.
🚨Diverted again to attend to casualty trapped in car in flood water. All safe and well!

Crew then attended local church fayre to display the pump and talk to the community whilst noting interest in HFSVs, many thanks for the invite!
🚨Crew paged at 15:00 to assist ambulance in removing a metal spike from a casualties leg. Good teamwork with neighbouring crew and excellent casualty care skills.
🚨Crew paged at 17:13 for smoke alarm in station area, false alarm. Crew then redirected to grass fire on route back to station, extinguished with beaters. Crew now home station.
