Very excited to see this article published in @CJPS_RCSP ! Looking at Canada’s feminist foreign policy, I argue that the country’s feminist branding was adopted during a period of significant identity insecurity, in which gender equality emerged as a strategic area.

The central argument is that when a state experiences significant insecurity regarding its international identity, it has a strong strategic incentive to leverage progressive branding to enhance its status and leadership on the global stage.

Interest recap of the Security Council in 2024.
“The decline in the number of resolutions continued: 46 resolutions were adopted in 2024—compared to 50 in 2023, 54 in 2022, and 57 in 2021. This is the lowest number since 1991 (42).” https://t.co/LPxaCGzkZC
@Audrey_Gagnon_ Thank you! Unfortunately, it seems the application deadline was September 1st for ISA travel grants (https://t.co/6vCWWwnVKu)... I will definitely get in touch with them to see whether they have other grants available.
