In South Carolina, there is no separate “special election” called for the U.S. Senate seat vacancy created by Sen. Lindsey Graham’s death. Instead, two parallel processes apply under state law and the 17th Amendment:
1. Interim Appointment for the Current Senate Seat
• Gov. Henry McMaster will appoint a temporary U.S. Senator to fill the vacancy.
• This appointee serves until January 3, 2027 (when the new term begins). It will likely be Lt Gov @PamelaEvette .
2. Replacing Graham on the November 2026 Ballot (Special Primary) @MarkLynchSC would be the clearest choice making the most sense.
Because Graham died before the general election, South Carolina Code § 7-11-55 requires a special primary to choose a new Republican nominee.
• Filing period opens: Second Tuesday after the death (July 21, 2026) and runs for one week through July 28, 2026.
• Special primary election: Second Tuesday after the filing period closes (August 4, 2026.)
• Runoff (if needed): Two weeks after the special primary (August 18, 2026).
The special primary is run by the State Election Commission and county boards, just like regular primaries.
Check the South Carolina State Election Commission (https://t.co/Uk9CqGH7lh) or the Republican Party of South Carolina, as they will announce the official calendar under § 7-11-55.
Transgenderism is an uncontrolled society-scaled experiment in conformity and obedience: a test of how far you can make people parrot absurdities, inflict cruelties, collude with unrealities, and ostracize and punish people for things they do not themselves believe.
It is a test of whether the moral self-abasements and routine betrayals that occurred in the Soviet Bloc with its secret police and political prisons and armies of informants could be replicated in liberal, democratic, and pluralistic societies that lacked this formal apparatus of repression: whether minor rewards and punishments could force people to punish people for stating the most self-evident of all truths and inspire them to cheer on the chemical castration and dismemberment of their own children. It is a test of whether civil liberties organization could be twisted into instruments of state repression and human rights groups instruments of defamation and violence against women.
It is a test that most of the Western world is failing.
