Just left #ReclaimTheseStreets vigil. I went to connect with women in our shared grief but it was ruined by men’s behaviour — the man who occupied stage with megaphone who wouldn’t leave, photographers + cameramen inches away, refusing to stop and chatting through minute silence.
I’m sick of officials and leaders saying they’re “shocked and saddened” we’re not shocked and we’re tired of being saddened. We’re f***ing furious. Now we watch as officials point the blame to everyone else #noaccountability#arrestyourown
Yesterday, one of their colleagues was charged with the abduction and murder of a woman simply walking home.
Today, they waited until it got dark and then arrested women standing vigil in mourning.
