Mormons are often very personally offended when Christians say that Mormonism isn’t Christian. This is dumb.

Joseph Smith’s first “encounter” with God involves God telling Smith that every creed Christians profess is an abomination to God.

Every creed.

That includes the Nicene Creed. They reject who God is, who Jesus is, the nature of salvation, the nature of exaltation, the clear teaching of Scripture, etc..

Mormonism rejects the very core of the Christian faith in all its essentials. Joseph Smith knew this but nowadays they are playing mind games with their own people and with real Christians.

Either THEY are Christians or WE are. It’s one or the other. Not both.

When asked “Will all be damned but Mormons?” Smith replied, “Yes, and a great portion of them unless they repent and work righteousness” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 119)

The Doctrine and Covenants (1:30) leaves no doubt to the Mormon teaching of exclusivity when it says the LDS Church is “the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased ….”

Brigham Young, second only to Joseph Smith in Mormonism said…

“Should you ask why we differ from other Christians, as they are called, it is simply because they are not Christians as the New Testament defines Christianity” (Journal of Discourses 10:230).

“The Christian world, so-called, are heathens as to the knowledge of the salvation of God” (Journal of Discourses 8:171).

I could easily give you pages of them saying they are the only true Christians and how we are all ignorant beasts and our doctrines are wrong. They knew at the time they had a different God, gospel, Scripture, and system of belief. But now it has become expedient to pretend otherwise while still preaching all those false and unchristian things.

Mormons, your leaders are gaslighting you and you are gaslighting us. You aren’t Christian but we want you to be. Flee from Mormonism. Flee from Joseph Smith.

Seeing my book on Marx he assumes (wrongly) that I like him: “I’m a socialist, too,” he says proudly.

“Great. Then you won’t mind, comrade, if I just take this coffee without paying.” I wink as if we’re a secret society.

He looks startled. “Huh?”

“Well, people like us believe in the free and equal distribution of wealth. ‘Death to all tyrants,’ right?”

“Uh, yeah. I guess. But who’s the tyrant here?”

“Starbucks, of course. Oppressing third world coffee growers and me in my right to free coffee.”

He looks trapped, but he’s not sure how. I let on that I’m teasing, pay, and tip him generously for enduring my playful persecution of the idiotic worldview that he’s adopted more like the latest ideological fashion one tries on but doesn’t actually understand.

This is the typical “socialist” youth. I encounter them on campuses, online, and in coffee shops just like this one.

My point wasn’t so much to mock him—it almost certainly isn’t his fault—but to gently poke holes in what is more slogan than actual coherent conviction.

Do you engage the young in your life? Do you speak to them on meaningful topics? Last night my three sons and I sat out under the stars and debated the spiritual significance of baptism. That may seem meaningless to some, but not to us. I wanted to challenge them and be challenged. I’m pleased we can do that. At other times we discuss politics or cultural trends.

Don’t neglect the young for they shall one day, be it for better or for worse, define the country.

Abortion is child sacrifice. It’s murder.

If people today were found sacrificing children, as the Canaanites and others did in the Old Testament, I’m sure the public and its elected officials would be aghast. Such people would be prosecuted for brutality and murder.

It is my contention that in essence abortion is another form of child sacrifice! But because killing children in the womb has been legalized in the US, so many elected officials and many other pro-abortionists condone this brutality and murder! They are condoning child sacrifice.

And sadly, it would seem abortion is the key factor in the USA in regard to who wins elections. And exit polls from elections indicate a significant number of those who call themselves evangelical Christians vote for those in favor of abortion. Seems unbelievable, but that’s the state of the culture.

Many times, in Scripture, God’s people are warned not to be like the pagan peoples of other nations who sacrificed their own children. As we read of this abomination in Scripture, the so-called “civilized West” would claim that such vile behavior as child sacrifice should not be tolerated.

But they do! In numbers that make the child sacrifice of the past pagan cultures pale in significance.

In Psalm 106:35–38, we read the following:

“But they mingled with the Gentiles and learned their works; they served their idols, which became a snare to them. They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.”

Such an abomination as child sacrifice does occur in our Western nations, and in fact the whole world. In America alone there is so much child sacrifice that it makes what Hitler did during the Holocaust (as horrific and evil as that was) pale by comparison.

Now abortion is not called child sacrifice. And the victims are not called children. Different terms are used in an attempt to hide the reality of what is actually happening in this modern-day holocaust. Terms like fetal tissue, abortion, pro-choice, women’s rights, women’s health care, reproductive rights and other words are used to hide a reality: the killing of a human being made in the image of God! It’s murder! It’s child sacrifice.

Daily in America, thousands of children are being sacrificed—yes, a sacrifice.
Since the impact of Roe vs Wade in 1973 in the USA, it is estimated that over 60 million children have been sacrificed. This holocaust of abortion has victims who are called mere tissue or fetuses. But these children are made in God’s image, but that is being ignored as children are being killed in a holocaust of unimaginable proportion. And to help normalize this horrific procedure, terms like “reproductive health” are used to hide what it really is—child sacrifice, the murder of children.

Daily in America, thousands of children are being sacrificed—yes, a sacrificed. We all think that the Canaanites and other pagan cultures were barbaric because of their ritual child sacrifice. But the brutality and bloodshed happening in the Western nations today makes the Canaanites look mild by comparison.

Now, to whom are these children today being sacrificed? To the god of self! Abortion is child sacrifice to the god of self.

We live in a country where most of the political leaders applaud the work of probably the world’s largest child-sacrificing machine, Planned Parenthood. In 2013, President Obama thanked Planned Parenthood, stating (and when he says “health care” and “woman’s right” in this context, he means abortion—the murdering of children),

“As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way,” said Obama. “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”

As he says “God bless you,” he cannot be talking about the God of the Bible. No, the only god he can be referring to is the god of self and the god of this world, the devil! Is he not in reality saying, “may the god of self bless you for sacrificing so many children”? He was exalting the work of Satan.

Remember too that President Obama was a supporter of partial-birth abortion (really, it’s partial-birth murder). Again, it’s child sacrifice.

Romans chapter 1 makes it clear that God will pour out His wrath in judgment upon a culture that rebels against Him. And one sign that God is judging a society and withdrawing His restraining influence of the Holy Spirit is the acceptance of increasing homosexual behavior, as Romans 1 teaches. LGBTQ issues are prominent in the culture today and have greatly contributed to an increasingly secularized worldview among the population and increasing anti-biblical, anti-Christian, so anti-God emphasis. And even though many people might not want to consider it, I suggest that perhaps God is now judging the nations that have shed the blood of millions of children sacrificed to the god of self.

“These . . . things the Lord hates . . . hands that shed innocent blood.” (Proverbs 6:16–17)

We are observing the dismantling of the Christian influence in this nation (and the whole Western world) that had led to its greatness in the world.

In the USA in 1962, school prayer was ruled unconstitutional. In 1963, Bible reading in public schools was deemed unconstitutional. In 1973, abortion was legalized (Roe v. Wade). In 1985, nativity scenes on public land were ruled to violate the supposed separation of church and state. In 2015, gay “marriage” was legalized. Next, euthanasia is coming, and yes pedophilia too (now called minor attracted persons to attempt to hide the truth). We read about this regularly in the news.

This nation needs to repent of the wickedness of worshipping the god of self!
