I am proud of my dad. He makes the world a better place. My dad attempted to go to first grade in the south during the time of desegregation, protestors made sure he couldn’t go back. His grandmother taught him on her front porch. He eventually became a dean at a top University
“This is a place where dreams can come true. I had a dream & I tell my students, ‘You have to believe in the beauty of your dream. Don’t let anybody deter you from that. You have to be persistent.’”

This is my dad! I’m so proud of him!
When Willie Reed arrived at Purdue, a Ph.D. student from Tuskegee University in 1978, his work had him in Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab. On Friday, Purdue renamed the facility for the retiring dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
