​Two Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS / CPS) caseworkers showed up unannounced at a family’s private residence demanding immediate access to interview one of the children named Calvin.

The justification? His school filed a mandated report alleging the child was observed "walking funny at school."
​Instead of presenting verified facts, the workers immediately leaned into classic coercion tactics.

They tried to create an illusion of absolute authority, standing on private property and pressuring the family by claiming law enforcement was already en route to force compliance.
​That’s where they ran into a brick wall.

​The homeowner, identified as Calvin's older brother, Jamie, remained completely composed and cut straight through the bureaucratic theater with one vital question:
​"Do you have a warrant or a court order?"
​When both caseworkers were forced to admit they possessed neither, Jamie immediately invoked his Fourth Amendment rights, revoked their implied license to remain on the property, and issued an unequivocal criminal trespass warning: get off the property now.

When the workers stalled and reiterated that an officer was coming, Jamie reminded them of the law: any responding officer is bound by the exact same Constitution and requires a signed judicial warrant or verified court order to force entry or compel interrogation.

State caseworkers routinely exploit the fact that average citizens don't know where administrative policy ends and constitutional law begins. They show up unannounced, drop vague allegations, mention police backup to induce panic, and bank on homeowners voluntarily surrendering their threshold out of fear.

A mandated report from a school based on mere suspicion (like a child walking differently) does NOT establish exigent circumstances, nor does it override the Fourth Amendment.

​Without a warrant, a court order, or an active, life-threatening emergency occurring in real time, government agents have zero legal authority to step foot in your home or demand compliance. When they refuse to leave after being told they are trespassing, they aren't protecting children, they are attempting an unlawful administrative shakedown.
