@KirkusReviews really gets #PrettyboyMustDie: “Readers looking for contemplative growth. . .should look elsewhere—high-octane action, frighteningly plausible intrigue, & creative survival are the narrative engines here, and boy, do they work.” https://t.co/YTaZOmM34p

@srmilesauthor I grew up in Georgia (I'm older GenX)), rarely heard but it was far worse than the B word. Working on a Colorado college campus this decade, I heard it between young women. Made me cringe & wonder when it became okay for us to call each other that. Still one of the worst for me.
@ericsmithrocks This was the most common rejection line while I was on sub for memoir & YA. I’d have preferred a straight, “I don’t like this.” I doubted many editors were like my protags—teen, Black, from tough neighborhoods—so I figured I’d never find a publisher. (We did, though!)
@courtneymilan I think she doesn't know what a millenial is. Per Pew Research,"Anyone born between 1981 & 1996 (ages 23 to 38 in 2019) is considered a Millennial; anyone born from 1997 onward is part of a new generation" So, grown people with rent, food, kids, loans, IRAs to pay for.
