@EricLevitz Hm, I think the reason it feels worse is because a lot of my kids and their friends (20 somethings) are working jobs that say they require a college degree, but aren’t what they went to college for, and aren’t that much better of a wage than if they hadn’t gotten a degree.
@natgrace79 The older I get the more I appreciate “kind” people over “nice” ones. In my experience, some of the nicest people I’ve known actually lie quite a bit to be nice even when they disagree with you, so you never know what they are really thinking. Which is not kind.
@AmysMargin Medical provider and occasional drinker here. I was surprised when I started in practice to discover that moderate drinkers actually are quite rare, at least in a rural Midwest practice. The vast majority of my patients do answer with what I consider extreme amounts or nothing.
@kkdumez I’ve been to that event but never imagined what it would be like to be at Union Station not knowing what was going on. 😂 Glad you enjoyed St. Louis, there is so much good stuff here.
@TravelingNun@HavenWinter77 I teared up at that line because that’s the story of so many gay Christian kids, but I assumed he would have attributed that situation to a lack of faith. If he is seeing it the other way around, he is coming to a much better understanding of the LGBTQ community than I expected.
