Q. let’s start from the very beginning. your first Chinese drama adaptation Double Helix (《双螺旋》) has been released. how are you feeling now?

🐺: it feels great bcs my acting has gained a lot of recognition by many peeps. in the past when i appeared in the public eye it was largely driven by media and brands. peeps would describe me as a “fashion boy” or something similar. although acting has always been my main profession, audiences had never really focused on my acting before but with this drama, my acting became one of the main topics of discussion for many viewers.

🐺: very “sinicized” in August i’ll be releasing an erhu album. It's all erhu and it's a completely new interpretation of classical works by masters such as Chopin, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Saint-Sa��ns, Rachmaninoff and others. i’ve always wanted to do something like this but bfr i didn’t think i had enough recognition or an audience

i wanna use this new platform to reintroduce the erhu. many peeps think of the erhu as a rather old-fashioned traditional instrument but i wanna show show that it can also be interpreted in a modern (New Age) style

🧡: do you think you'll bring it along for live performances? Considering it's been many years since you stepped on stage in any capacity other than an actor, will you feel nervous?

🐺: who knows? but i think i will. When this work comes out, we’ll have just finished our first fan meeting in Bangkok. If the tickets sell out, there will be around a few thousand people and we’ll even be doing two consecutive shows.

it has been a few months and we finally met again! seeing where you are now is truly touches my heart.

i wanna say that everything you have today is never just because of luck. it’s the result of countless unseen moments of perseverance, tears and hard work.

you’ve carried so many responsibilities on your own while chasing your dreams and taking care of your family at the same time. along the way, you’ve taken countless budget flights, worked through so many red-eye schedules and spent so many nights sleeping only one or two hours just to earn a single opportunity.
