FNB has appointed Linda Kachingwe-Sisya as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
In her new role, she will lead the bank’s marketing, corporate affairs and brand strategy.
Kachingwe-Sisya brings more than 20 years in consumer goods and financial services, with experience spanning Southern, Eastern and Western Africa as well as international markets.
She started at Unilever Zimbabwe in 2005 as Brand Manager, moving to Brand Manager for Home and Personal Care Brands in Malawi within her first five years. In 2008, she took on the role of Regional Head of Brand for OMO across East and Southern Africa, based in Nairobi.
She moved into banking in 2009, joining Standard Bank Group as Head of Marketing and Communications in Malawi. Over eight years there, she rose to Regional Marketing Head for South and Central Africa, then Executive Head of Regional Marketing and Communications for West Africa, sitting on the group's Marketing and Communications Executive Committee.
Kachingwe-Sisya joined Rand Merchant Bank in 2018 as Executive Head of Marketing for Africa, Coverage and Private Equity. She was later named Africa Executive Head of Marketing and Communications for FNB and RMB, and in November 2021 took charge of marketing and communications for the group's Africa and international businesses, covering Africa, India, China, the UK and the US.
Her remit spanned retail and commercial banking, corporate and investment banking, wealth management, insurance, lending and digital banking. She has sat on several executive committees across FNB and RMB.
She holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from the University of Malawi and an MSc in Strategic Management and Leadership from the University of Derby. She has a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, completed the Global Executive Development Programme at GIBS with Distinction, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business with Distinction from the Emeritus Institute of Management, delivered with MIT Management Executive Education and Columbia Business School.
She is a Chartered Marketer.
