Chloe has consistently demonstrated strong work habits throughout Distance Learning! She shared some pictures of the HFW Ninja Board Game and the Counting to 120 Number Board. I am SO proud of all our friends for continuing to show persistence throughout Distance Learning!
We have been working hard on producing quality work! Colton and Namirah are both concentrating hard on their letter printing to ensure the correct starting and ending points, letter formation and strokes. Great job friends!
I loved these pictures from Samarah as she has been working hard on being responsible and taking care of her animals. With two new puppies at her home she has been taking on the job of a vet! What a great way to take ownership and exercise life skills! Way to go Samarah!

We love trying new strategies and utilizing learning tools to keep up engaged! Yesterday we worked on blending real and nonsense CVC words by doing playdoh SMASH and using a magnifying glass to blend, read and daube itsy bitsy CVC words!
One our favorite ways to build connections with literature is to reflect on the stories by creating a text-to-self writing piece. This week we read about Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. We wrote about one of our bad days.
We have been working on our CVC word building and took this skill to the next level by creating simple rhymes for the CVC pictures on our game board! We follow our rhyming rule that states rhyming words have the same middle and ending sounds!
Developing those emergent writing skills as we create an opinion writing piece, building fluency with CVC blending and building and exploring place value for math! So many skills all built into one day!
Starting the month of May off with some hard workers! It is great to see the motivation for learning continue as we strive to practice and build fluency with our kindergarten skills!
