When the truth comes out, suddenly everyone is quiet. Taylor Swift was getting criticized left and right over the NYPD presence, street closures, traffic, and city resources, but once it came out that she and Travis had already paid for permits and event-related costs, a lot of people suddenly stopped talking. People are always quick to jump to conclusions, but somehow never as quick to acknowledge the full story.
It still annoys me every single day that Taylor Swift gets hated just for living her life. People criticize her for being a billionaire, even though she's donated millions to charities, food banks, disaster relief, and bonuses for her tour crew, more than many of the world's top billionaires ever publicly have. She was also relentlessly criticized for using her private jet during The Eras Tour, even though she wasn't even in the top 10 private jet emitters. Yet I barely see the same people calling out the actual top 10 with that same level of outrage. The double standard is so obvious. It feels like no matter what Taylor Swift does, some people will always find a reason to hate her.
Press release just received from Taylor Swift’s rep, Tree Paine:
* Adam Sandler officiated (yes, really!)
* Taylor’s brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s “Man of Honor”
* Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man
