@essosgrimreaper Nettles would have been a great counter point to the Valeryian supremacy notion if she was in the show. I don’t think Condal or Hess could actually adapt her in a compelling way, but Nettles could’ve been a slam dunk addition. This show will not be looked upon kindly
@newmedicine7 It’s ironic how flagship IP’s like them and the Fantastic 4 are only NOW getting crumbs in other media once again. I remember growing up with Wolverine being apart of the Marvel big 3… how times have changed
@rettttarded@venurrable You bring up a fair point, it’s more so that I’ve seen a lot of people like her gain platforms by showing how “easy” or “simple” rap is. And typically people who say things like that are pretty racist. Looking at some of our other content does not help her case.
@rettttarded@venurrable People that rap in other cultures don’t use a blaccent. I see where you’re coming from to a degree, the way she does tho reeks of insincerity and mockery. The way she engages with rap as a non-black person is weird and gives off the vibe that she’s not coming From a good place
@rettttarded@venurrable Ngl, you addressed nothing of what I said😭 She’s appropriating the pathetic of a trans woman. Also, it’s not that white people aren’t allowed to rap, it’s that she’s clearly using a blackaccent to further diminish rap culture as "easy"
@redelk_yt James Gunn needs somebody to tell him no. He has an incredible creative mind, but I fear he gets his way more often than not, and that is at the detriment of these projects. I’m thankful that he’s in charge, but I wish there was somebody in the room to tell him no
@slothsaretight3 The initiative of only filming once a script is done IS good, but the lineup of films and shows were getting reeks of a lack of actual planning Clayface has no reason to be getting a release before Wonder Woman or the Bat family
