It’s almost like firing a manager the players loved & replacing him with someone who constantly reminds us “we finished 17th last season” & “aren’t really a CL club” hasn’t worked.
Took the spark that should have started the fire after Bilbao, and snuffed it straight out. Grim.
The complete disbelief that so many of us have with the media coddling of Thomas Frank is largely down to the fact that his predecessor was mocked and laughed at only a year ago for being in a similar position - even though he had trophies and a 5th placed finish behind him. There is no explanation for the insane amount of grace he’s being given for seemingly no reason at all.
@HLTCO The fact Spurs are moving him on flabbergasts me. Top goal scorer last year due to late runs into the box. Think a Dele Alli lite. Maybe not as skilful on the ball like Del was
Spurs losing £12.5m on Brennan Johnson two years after signing him and after he scored the biggest goal (albeit a crap one) in their recent history is wild.
Worth a punt for Palace at that price, especially in this market. Imagine Glasner will get a tune out of him.
21 years is a long time.
I’m just a kid from Chicago who instantly knew this game was for me.
Today, as I prepare to hang up my gloves, I know this journey was never just about me.
THANK YOU - TO EVERYONE.
