@7Forge @IbiShittu @7Forge, this is correct, I had the same #1300. The stolen #1000 was exchanged for goods worth #700 and a balance of #300 was given back to the man.
In essence, the total amount the supermarket loss was #1300. I already gave more explanations in my earlier contribution.

@IbiShittu The supermarket lost #1k when it was stolen. The same was used to buy goods worth #700 & the supermarket gave the man #300 as change. In this case, the supermarket loss a total of #1,300. This is b'cos, the worth of the goods (#700) isn't an additional loss (1k was exchanged).
