@vkjoestar it’s funny because outside part 5 you’ve got like 4 characters, 3 of whom are related. Even the Italian protagonist is actually ethnically Japanese/English
@hoppymcfboi24 You are misunderstanding your own point. Mutants in marvel comics are humans with powers. Non-mutants being afraid of being “replaced” is also a justification for bigotry. You are arguing that non-mutants are right to be afraid and that that reflects poorly on the real world.
@MarvelComradeJr @hoppymcfboi24 That could be true, but he hasn’t reached the logical endpoint.
The parallel seems bad at first glance if you view this in-universe “justification” for anti-mutant sentiment as valid when it’s not.
All I’m garnering from the news cycle around the Suicide Squad game is that the new 52 has done irreversible damage to Wonder Woman’s mythos and character in public perception. This is somehow Frank Miller’s fault.
it’s clear that the end of this scene is supposed to be somber, almost as if the preceding moments were some sort of act performed by a character who - I get this might seem complicated for you guys - might feel remorseful for having to kill Batman. Just a thought.
This week here has been absolutely exhausting. Activism is not policing other people’s activism. If you think someone doesn’t care, why would you take the time to engage with them. Do something that matters and is more worth your time.
What if -and hear me out for a second- you can make a character with a certain narrative purpose in mind? Did he do it well? No. But it’s not that there was nothing else to do with her, it’s clearly what she was written to do.
Kingohger is so good that if the characters just monologues at each other for the rest of the season, it would still be the best season of Sentai I’ve seen
Anyways if I don’t have a single attachment to any character by the end of Gotchard ep 3, I’m convinced that this this might be the worst rider intro arc ever.
