When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm, there’s a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
My first-ever first-author paper, and my first paper during my PhD, is out! 🎉
Our study, “Resolving ion-coupled electron transfer in bipolar organic electrodes in aqueous electrolytes by single-particle electrochemistry,” has just been published in Chemical Science.
...we can actually use.
I am grateful to my advisor, co-authors, collaborators, and mentors who helped bring this work to life. Seeing a question I have spent so much time thinking about become my first first-author publication is a moment I will always remember.

Success is a combination of effort, opportunity, timing, faith, sacrifice, and the quiet, often invisible contributions of people who cross our paths.

My dad had no idea where my school was until I finished (secondary school). Infact he had no idea what class I was until the last term I was about to take my WAEC.
The funny part is that my mom never for one day used it against him in our presence or even talk about it. The day we asked her why our Dad never came to our school, Her answer was "your dad is trying o, he knows all the teachers in your school, he just don't want you to know because they all report to him anytime you misbehave "
To us, our daddy never cared but we never saw behind the scenes.
He may have never been to our school but he always pays our school fees.
My mom will always cover him up and when she buys things like Television with her money, she will write my dad's name on the receipt.
We saw all that and how we were able to follow up without giving all the credit to my mom was so easy.
And when we started working, we made sure our dad had those things he wished to have years back. I used my first million to get him a land and so did my brother too.
They may not have it all now but at least they now have their own money they can spend without thinking of sharing it for the family needs..
Love is not enough to hold a family, marry a woman that will be your defender when your presence is not there. My mom was my dad's backbone.
Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi have been awarded the 2025 #NobelPrize in Chemistry for the development of a new type of molecular architecture.
In 1989, chemistry laureate Richard Robson tested utilising the inherent properties of atoms in a new way. He combined positively charged copper ions with a four-armed molecule; this had a chemical group that was attracted to copper ions at the end of each arm.
When they were combined, they bonded to form a well-ordered, spacious crystal. It was like a diamond filled with innumerable cavities.
