American military police tried to impose a colour bar on an English village in 1943.

The village's three pubs responded by putting up signs reading: BLACK TROOPS ONLY. Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.

Black American soldiers were stationed there and the locals liked them. When the US Army asked the village to segregate its pubs, the publicans complied in the most English way available — by barring the white Americans instead.

On the night of 24 June 1943, white American MPs came to arrest a Black soldier at Ye Olde Hob Inn for a uniform infraction. British civilians and British soldiers in the pub intervened and told them to leave him alone.

It escalated into a night of shooting between Black GIs and American MPs. One Black soldier, William Crossland, was killed.

Dozens were court-martialed. British witnesses testified about the MPs' conduct, and sentences were reduced. The US Army quietly reorganised how MPs were deployed in the area.

An English village looked at American segregation, understood it immediately, and refused to host it.
The pub is still there. The sign is part of local legend.

A 20 year fiber optics professional confronted Paulding County Commissioners during a public meeting in Georgia

He says they are secretly lying to residents about no data centers being expanded because he sees fiber lines being put in that are for a data center and costs $2 million dollars

“It costs between $50,000 and $100,000 a mile to install, and you're telling me no data centers? Nobody's doing that on a maybe… I mean, that's almost a $2 million dollar investment.”

“Somebody needs to explain it to me. Either you're not gonna do it, or you are gonna do it, you're lying to them, or you're lying to us. I need to know. That's what I wanna know. 'Cause they're not putting that in for giggles. I've done this for 20 years”

He pulled the records of the company putting in the lines and they only do this for massive projects, not residential like the Commissioners are claiming. So they’re openly lying to residents about a data center project

Officials had been telling residents there is no data center going in at Cole Lake Road. This professional in the industry of 20 years is saying the fiber work already in the ground does not match their story

I did my own research and this guy is SPOT ON

- The company putting the lines in is called Zayo
- GreyStone Connect is the company that does residential Internet

Zayo is the company that’s putting in those specific lines he’s referring by to. Zayo’s business is hyperscalers, banks and media. They do not sell you home internet

Mixing those 2 companies is how officials keep dodging the question

So it’s essentially confirmed these lines are going to be used for a hyper scale data center

Government officials who openly lie about things like this should all be removed. The entire council should lose their jobs
