I was happy to help a refugee today prepare for a Service Assistant position. The job fair is taking place this week, and she was referred by the Jobcentre. They asked me to brief her on the recruitment process and what would be expected of her.

She came with her cute little baby and was eager to get on. She was willing and fully ready to even start work today.

The jobs are there. There are people who are genuinely eager to work, contribute, and build a better future if they’re given the opportunity.

Almost 30% of people aged 16–64 being economically inactive is alarming. It points to a serious issue that the government needs to address.
