@LexiHartwell30@Cpt_Kur1@NFL_DovKleiman Yesterday’s game is one example, is yesterday’s game. Another would be being top 3 in INTs last year. Thank goodness Seattle has a defense.
@LexiHartwell30@Cpt_Kur1@NFL_DovKleiman Not sure how that makes your point… Darnold is top 20 at best. If you’re throwing in hardware then yes, that’ll move him above a lot of QBs. Hindsight is always 20/20, especially the next year Seattle win the SB, but it wasn’t that big of a loss as many people make it out to be.
@NorseGods72@Brawl_w_TimPaul They were in a tough position with drafting McCarthy and Sam having the regular season he had. But didn’t show up when it mattered. He led the NFL in turnovers just last year, ironically, he didn’t turn the ball over in their SB run.
@NorseGods72@Brawl_w_TimPaul They offered Darnold a less favorable contract than the Seahawks. Darnold chose Seattle. Let’s not pretend Darnold didn’t have the postseason he had in Minnesota. Also that last game against DET was unacceptable. There was reason for doubt.
@MrFootball88_@ShowinStatsSam I'd imagine the commanders would be to only team that runs a similar defense. Their DC, Daronte Jones was the Flores DB coach and passing game coordinator. I don't know much about defense but this scheme is definitely 1 of 1 (as of now).
@danorlovsky7 Joseph’s cover 2 disguised as cover 1 was his bread and butter against Lawrence! Webb and Joseph called a good game, especially on the money downs!
I love the amount of shifts/motions David Blough is throwing at this Cowboys defense. Make them communicate!! Especially with being down some starters in the secondary!
@HAWKJOHNSON6 Fair point, but I want to emphasize the marriage of Klint’s West Coast system and Cousins’ ability to excel when having to turn his back to the defense in a play-action pass. And you’re right, if you can win t/o’s and time of possession, you’re in prime position to win.
I really do smell a 2022-type year for Kirk Cousins. And there isn’t a better QB for Mendoza to learn from, considering Kirk thrives in run-heavy, play-action pass systems, and Mendoza had only taken 5 snaps under center in college.
Klint loves to run the ball (ran the ball on roughly 49% of their plays in 2025). I also think Jeanty and Washington will be a top 10 RB duo by the EOS. They also have perimeter playmakers for Cousins/Mendoza to target in the passing game.
