@HowardRHughes2 Can't because I have a condition that will likely worsen if I'm sent into the rigors of combat. Hydrocephalus specifically, which involves an overproduction of spinal fluid that, without the shunt in my head, would fill my skull and cause irreversible brain damage.

@HowardRHughes2 Not to mention the surgeries and HRT that some would partake in, in order to transition. I would hope the military wouldn't allow transsexuals special treatment, in that regard.

@HowardRHughes2 Yet at least the vast majority of women who have served have been of sound mind (or so I hope). Given the dysphoria that transsexuals possess, why should they be allowed to enlist, when there's such a clash between their physical selves and their mental images?
