I still remember the first time I realized code has limits.

A smart contract can move funds exactly as written. It can't answer whether the work was actually good, whether a promise was honestly kept, or whether someone acted in bad faith.

That gap is where the next era of Web3 will be won.

After reading The Compass, I see why @GenLayer isn't trying to replace Bitcoin or Ethereum. It's extending the same idea.

Bitcoin removed the need to trust banks with money.
Ethereum removed the need to trust platforms with execution.
GenLayer asks the next question: who should we trust when the answer isn't black and white?

Not one company.
Not one AI model.
Not one person behind closed doors.

A network that can reason, disagree, and reach transparent consensus on subjective questions feels like the missing layer for an economy where AI agents will negotiate, hire, trade, and resolve disputes without waiting for humans.

That isn't just another blockchain feature. It's a new trust primitive.
