Some years back, while standing in the cold in the middle of the night, A young Lady held my hands as directed by the Joint Christian fellowship Leader, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta with the sole aim of filling me with the Holyspirit and evidence of speaking in tongues
I am one of those in my generation that did motherhood pretty early. Yup, I sacrificed corporate America. I do not regret it one bit. My mum married early, she did motherhood early. My mother was the yardstick for keeping a home and raising a family.
My friends who did motherhood later have kids who are much younger than mine. Some of their kids are toddler or preteens. None have college age students.
The New Identity in Christ
Galatians 3: 23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world (John 17:16).
There are those who say that having received the life of Christ, you still have your old nature. That’s not true, according to the Scriptures. You don’t have two natures; you have only one, and it’s the nature of God. The question however is, “Where do you live? With what consciousness do you function?” As Christians, we live simultaneously in two worlds. Once you’re born again, you’re alive to God; you’re awakened to the fatherhood of God and to the reality of the Kingdom of God.
Your Identity in Christ
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world (John 17:16).
Our culture is very interested in the journey of discovering individual identity. Personality tests and dream assessments are available everywhere you look. It seems like everyone is searching for something to tell them who they are, where they belong and how they relate to the world.
The Bible says that all men and women are created in God’s image. Humankind was created to reflect some of God’s attributes. You can look for your identity anywhere, but followers of Jesus are called to find their identity in Him.
Where Do You Find Your Identity?
While our world encourages you to look within yourself for your identity, your natural tendency is to search for your identity in external things.
One of the first places that you can be tempted to look to is your career. Spending your time and energy pursuing your career can cause you to feel like it is a defining characteristic of who you are. After all, a job that you are dedicated to is likely to take up most of your time and attention.
Jobs and careers are closely connected to other places where you can search for your identity, such as financial success and status. But it doesn’t stop there. People also ask their relationship statuses, appearance, grades and reputation to provide a sense of identity.
Any or all of these may feel like solid foundations, but none of them are permanent. Any of them could change without warning. If you base your identity on things like success, wealth, power, physical appearance and so on, you are setting yourself up for great disappointment. A sudden job loss could leave you questioning your choices in life. One piece of gossip aimed your way could destroy your reputation, even if it is untrue. Your appearance will change as you get older.
God, however, is unchanging. He is reliable. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you find your identity in Him, you will never ultimately be let down because He has proven time and time again to be trustworthy.
It is important, as you define your identity, that God not be just an aspect of who you are, like “I am a Christian,” or ”I am religious,” or “I am spiritual”. Understanding your identity in God starts with understanding who He is, what He says about Himself, and what He says about you. Your identity can be defined by who God is making you to be in His image.
Seeing Yourself as God Sees You Matters
If you put your faith in Jesus, you have a new identity in Him. The more you get to know Jesus through His word and time in prayer, the more you will understand your identity in Him.
The more you get to know Jesus, the more you will be able to identify areas of your life that you are not living in this identity by the power of the Holy Spirit.
If you believed that you were all that God says you are in Christ, how would that change the way you lived, the way you interact with others, or the way that you relate to the Lord?
As you find your identity in Christ, you will grow to look more like Him and less like the world. You will grow in intimacy with Him and with other believers.
You must realize that you’re a new creation, born of the Word and Spirit of the Lord. Therefore, even though you’re in this world, you’re not of the world. When the Lord Jesus said, “I’m from above”; the Jews sneered at Him. They knew He was born physically in Nazareth; yet He said to them, “I’m from above.” They were offended at Him because they didn’t understand spiritual realities. Jesus told the truth about His origin and identity. Like Him, you’re from above. You have the same life and nature with Him. This is who you are now; not who you’re “trying” or “growing” to be. When a woman gives birth, the baby doesn’t become more human as he grows. No matter how small the baby is at birth or the fact that he doesn’t walk immediately, can’t sit, eat, and talk; he’s still completely human. It’s the same with you; you’re hundred percent divine. You’re of God; you hail from Him. Your origin is in Him. You’re not of this world! This is the reality. There’re many beautiful and glorious descriptions of the new creation in the Scriptures. It’s one of the reasons you must study the Bible to know more about the glorious things spoken and written of you in the Word. What name has God called you? Answer that name, for you’ll cheat yourself if you don’t.
In Genesis 17:5, God spoke to Abram and said, “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” “Abram” meant exalted father, but God had a different plan for him and called him the “father of many nations.”
YOUR NEW IDENTITY IN CHRIST
Abraham immediately adjusted to his new reality and identity, introducing himself by his new name. Some must have made jest of Abraham when he changed his name. Recall also that Sarah, his wife was barren; another hopeless case.
But Abraham was fully persuaded by God’s Word, and called himself what God had called him. In the same way, you have to learn to agree with God and His Word. Accept your new identity and reality in Christ. He’s called you holy, righteous, prosperous, victorious, more than a conqueror, etc. Walk in agreement with God, with His description and perception of you.
When Paul wanted to address the Christians at Ephesus, he referred to them as saints, and the faithful (Ephesians 1:1). That’s your description as well. If you aren’t a saint, then it means you’re not born again, because saints are those who are born again. In Colossians 1:22, He calls you holy, unblameable and unreproveable. Accept and walk in the light of these truths and you’ll be ever productive in your faith-walk of righteousness.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God… (1 John 3:2).
Concerning Jesus, the Bible says, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not…” (John 1:10-11).
The world didn’t know Him because they tried to figure Him out by their senses; they were looking at His outward appearance. They couldn’t see that He was the maker of the universe. God Himself was with them but they didn’t recognise Him.
Likewise, the world also doesn’t recognise us as new creations and associates of the God-kind. They think we’re ordinary, but we’re sons of God. We’re God-men in the earth; we’re divine, because the life in us is the life of God.
They group us as they group unbelievers, according to our race, ethnic group, gender, language, geographical location, colour and creed.
Recently they added a new phenomenon to it, gender dysphoria, which they defined as the feeling of discomfort or distress that might occur in people whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth or sex-related physical characteristics.
This then gave birth to people identifying as who they are not or people who are confused by what gender they are because they have certain proclivities that do not fit into their natural gender
In simpler times, such people are identified as mentally unstable and treated as such but in today's society, mental disorder is under siege for trying to claim symptoms relating to sexual orientation as one of its symptoms.
The same issue can be argued to be affecting believers who are born again, full of the Holy Spirit and have eternal life but feel confused as to their identities in Christ.
Salvation Dysphoria: the feeling of discomfort or distress that might occur in people whose salvation identity differs from their identity as assigned at the moment they became born again or begin to participate in kingdom-related activities.
Some of such believers have lived long in the understanding of their cultural or natural identities to embrace the new identity given to them in Christ wholeheartedly.
You see men insisting their wives are first Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo women before they can claim to be saints in Christ or the lights of the World or sons of God.
You see women claiming to be feminists, divas, baddies, housewives, black women, career women etc due to the desire to own their identities in the world despite knowing their true identities in Christ has nothing to do with these things.
Our identity in Christ has nothing to do with gender, our jobs, our careers, our language or our colour.
1 John 4" 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
There are people in this world who God does not live inside of them
There are people in this world who God lives inside of them
The former are men
The latter are Sons of God or gods
God has other names he defined them as a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, the light of the world, saints, children of obedience, children of the day, the righteous ones
John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God….” He gave us the right, the ability, to become the sons of God. We’re not going to become sons of God when we get to heaven; we’re sons of God NOW! James 1:18 declares, “Of his own will begat us with the word of truth….”*_
When you heard the Gospel, and opened your heart to the Word, the life of God was imparted to your spirit, and you were born again. But the world still looks at you and thinks they’re seeing the same old person. Just because you’re encased in an ordinary human body doesn’t mean you’re ordinary. 2 Peter 1:4 describes you as a partaker of the divine nature; you’re in God’s class of being, the divine class. You’re not a mere mortal; you’re actually a god in the earth. Think about it: animals give birth to animals and humans give birth to humans. God, therefore, would most certainly give birth to gods. That’s why He said in Psalm 82:6, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”
Get to know who you are, because when you get to know who you are, you’ll know what belongs to you and live to your full potentials. Be bold in your life. You’re a child of God; a joint-heir with Christ; the world belongs to you. Refuse to live an ordinary life or as an ordinary person.
Psalm 82
1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
Read the scripture above out loud and then silently, read it again and again.
Believers who identify as men negate the effect of the reality of their divine nature and therefore will suffer the fate of mere men like walking in darkness and they will be unable to set faulty foundations right
Believers who identify as deities, divine nature carriers, and sons, are children of the Most High and they will subdue and dominate according to the dictates of their nature
Are you a woman, man, lady, black, white, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, or a Son?
When you read things written online like Men are this or women are that?
Are you triggered or do you make up your mind to make more men and women become like yourself in your divine reality?

Seeing Yet Blind
I have a friend who would say "You cannot be the aggressor and expect to control how those you affect with your decision will respond to your aggressive antics"
The friend said this often to me, especially when I chose to go all out in dealing with an issue that might have been better handled with less aggression
I learnt a lot from this friend
I also know that for some people aggression is the best language to speak in order to get their attention and stop them in the wake of their destructive tendencies
Learning when to be patient and allow the noise to die down before making a move and when to strike first in order to stop a brewing storm from taking flight is an art
When you are full of the Holy Spirit, you will learn through him how to make the best decisions in life
11 pm yesterday, after my PSSBC class, I decided to take a walk
I do this daily, staying for hours in my hotel room during the day here in London is something I love
It is however monotonous and sedentary, so I go for walks four times a day
The moment I wake up after my prayers, in the mid-day before my meal for the day, at 7 pm and then at 11 pm
I love the long walks and the sight of people going about their businesses
I love watching the pigeons, the squirrels and the foxes roaming the streets
I love watching the dogs and their owners and the babies and their parents all having a good time
I once chanced upon a scene at Tesco where a dude stole a bag full of alcohol and was chased down by one of the attendants until he dropped the bag on the street in order to escape being arrested
Human nature is the same everywhere
I was once in a park and a blind man being led by his dog came to me and asked me to read to him the ingredients in his dog food
He said his dog was allergic to some things and he wanted to be sure the dog food he will be picking up does not have them
He gave me the package, I read the ingredients out loud and then I asked him why he couldn't read it himself
He said "Oh, I can see a bit but I have been declared officially blind by my doctors"
I knew he could see, maybe not much but he walked straight to me and he was not using a cane to walk
His dog was strutting about the park on its own
He surely could see, but not enough to read and do other things those with better sights can do
So I laid my hand on his eyes for about a minute
Then I gave him the package of dog food and said "Can you try to read for yourself"
He took the package, looked at it and screamed
He could see the tiny prints
What followed was a lot of tears and joy
He said his name was Anderson, but I could call him Andy
He asked me who I was
I told him my name
He said how did you do what you just did
I said I am a carrier of Jesus
He looked around and asked me "Where is he?"
I laughed so loud and said "You are looking at Him, he is in me"
I speak African English with pride, I see no need to twist my tongue when I engage people from other nationalities, so it takes them a bit of time to process whatever I say to them sometimes
That's all good
I also take time to process their words
I wish they all would just speak in tongues and allow me to do that too, so we can understand each other with clarity
Andy loves me, we exchanged phone numbers and I led him to Christ
My trip to London this time was to prepare for the coming days, the days of the White tree blossoming again
The days are at hand and I am determined to be ready for it
Andy has a younger sister, Jasmine, he brought her to me at my hotel the following day
The gospel works that way
One man or woman who has tasted it will draw many into it
Jasmine believed with all her heart that the Bible was a cock and bull story
I had no issues with that
I am not a cock and bull story, she came to see who helped her brother recover his sight
I told her all about myself and how my belief in the Lord Jesus led me to the study of the scriptures and into the understanding of who those in Christ were meant to be and what they are capable of
Jasmine was convinced and she gave her life to Christ
She also downloaded the Bible to her phone and began to read the book of John from that day
Three days later, she got filled with the Holy Spirit while reading John Chapter 3
She was all by herself in a DLR train heading to London Waterloo from Canary Wharf
She tried calling me but I was sleeping after pulling an all-nighter over the phone
Eventually, she was able to disembark from the train and she took a cab to my hotel
This time Andy and two of their cousins came to meet her
The hotel staff came to check my room at about 4 pm to inform me I had guests waiting for me
I was not expecting anyone
I went downstairs and there they were
I spent three hours explaining to them who the Holy Spirit is and how he is the Spirit of Jesus
Long story short they all gave their lives to Jesus
Wait...
Didn't many believers who travel abroad claim that it is difficult to preach the gospel in the West because of laws and all that?
When you reduce the message of salvation to sharing tracts and condemning people's way of life on megaphones, why won't you become ineffective?
I have never found the gospel difficult to minister to in any nation I find myself
I carry no Bible and I carry no megaphone but I am from above and I am above all
You cannot have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you bodily and struggle with bringing the unfulfilled into a place of fulfilment
A man with free food does not struggle to attract the hungry
Now, Sue and Lucy were friends of Jasmine
They worked at a pub just down the street from my hotel
They heard all that had happened to Andy, Jasmine, Kent and Boyd
They became believers too (I have not met them yet)
Lucy is a fun girl, even though she worked at a pub to earn her wages, she is someone you will consider a free soul
(I don't know how else to put it but what I mean is, when the pub owners need to send a babe to any of their customers for personal entertainment behind closed doors, Lucy is the girl they rely on to deliver)
She is pretty, a blonde and she is 24 years old
Lucy told the two pub owners that she wanted to quit
They asked her why
She told them about Jesus and how the Holy Spirit convicted her of her way of life
They were like, "Really?"
She told them about Andy and Jasmine and how Boyd and Kent had also somehow changed their ways due to the power of the gospel
The two guys started laughing
They were both dating ladies who were half Nigerian and Half Polish and they knew the antics of many Nigerian religious folks through their girlfriends
So they closed their pub early yesterday evening and came to sit just outside my hotel by 10:30 pm because they had been told I take walks after my 10-11 pm class
It is not a good thing to be so predictable sometimes, I will work on it but I found myself meeting these two lovely guys yesterday evening
They saw me as I walked out of the hotel and called my name
"Sam, Sam the Nigerian, please come over here, we have been waiting to see you, pal"
I walked over to them
They asked me what I had in the Tesco bag I was carrying
I told them it was my dinner
They asked me what it was
I brought out the smoothie I usually take in the evening
It was Dr Lolade who bought it for me about a year ago and I found it to be very healthy for my body
So I take it in the night as dinner before my walks
They laughed and asked me to sit down
They said they were pub owners and had heard a lot about me
They were drunk but functional
I never liked preaching the gospel to drunks
So I just let them be
On their table, they had all sorts of drinks and some packs of burger
The Indian guy said his name was Mikhisomething but I can call him Mick
The British guy in jeans shorts said his name was Pascal
They said Lucy was their girl and they wanted me to tell her it was all a gimmick because it would ruin their business a bit if she quits without giving them notice
I nodded
They said they want to come to Nigeria to meet Babes, can i arrange it?
I laughed
They went on talking about Nigerian girls and certain body parts etc
I laughed
Mick said, "You don't talk much, do you?"
I said "You are drunk, so if I talk I will just be wasting my breath"
They asked for my phone number and I gave it to them
One of them started searching for his pack of cigarettes, the other told him to go and check the car
He went off and came back smiling
He said "I found it in the car and all the while I thought you stole them"
He was TALKING to me
I couldn't tell if he was joking or meant it
I didn't say anything
They asked me if I was married and what I did for a living
We chatted a bit but they didn't stop drinking for a second
They drank beer, wine, whiskey, energy drinks, one in a green flat bottle, one in a bottle shaped like a dildo, all sorts
They engaged with me for about forty-five minutes
Then they said they had to go but would send me a text in the morning
As they left, I said, "Are you guys driving in this condition?"
Indian guy looked at me like I was being a prude and said "No, who drives while drunk" in a sarcastic tone
I said "You won't be able to drive sir, you will sleep in that car and when you wake up you will come looking for me"
They laughed and left
I saw them get into the car, start it and drive off
I got on with my walk
I got back from my walk at about 1 AM
I slept at about 3 AM
I got a knock on my door at 8:35 AM
I opened the door and it was the hotel guys
They said two guys were in the parking lot, seated in their cars and asking for me
I dressed up and walked to the car park
I found Mick and Pascal behind the steering, dressed the same way they did last night and sober
What happened?
They had been driving in circles all night
No Kidding
No Kidding at all
They drove around and around but couldn't go home
After every drive, they found themselves back at the hotel
Mick said I had used "juju" on them
I started laughing
I didn't mean to be mean but it was funny
It was hilarious
I told them there was nothing like juju but I understood what had happened
I explained to them how the angel of God works and that sometimes the angel can cloud people's minds and reasoning to such a degree that they will be seeing with their two eyes but be unable to make any other decision apart from what God desires of them
2 Kings 6: 18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.
19 Elisha told them, “This is not the road and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for.” And he led them to Samaria.
20 After they entered the city, Elisha said, “Lord, open the eyes of these men so they can see.” Then the Lord opened their eyes and they looked, and there they were, inside Samaria.
Blindness as seen here was not physical blindness, as you can read from the test, the guys could still see but they could not make an informed decision and they could not carry out their intention towards Elisha
They just did what he told them to do
If they were all physically blind there was no way he could have successfully led them to the palace of the King
They listened to my story
Pascal said "I want this, I so want this"
Mick just started crying
I led them to Christ and discovered the time was almost 11 AM
They promised to call me as they drove home
It is ironic however that the man who started the whole drama was legally blind and got to see while the story this morning was about two guys who could see but yet were blind
The Holy Spirit is at work in us to do and to will according to his own good pleasure.
I came back to my room to write this before taking my first walk of the day
Good morning

PS: September is the Month of Hosanna
Our month of Prevailing Prayers
The Month of the Nachalah Convention
The month of the Feast of Divine Help and Feast of Divine Possession
We will be having our prophetic service tomorrow morning, early birds can join by 5 AM, others should join by 5:30 AM, late birds can do 6AM
The UK retreat is starting on Thursday
The USA retreat is starting on the 29th of August!
EUOSMIA: The Code of The Season
After a season of dryness, one may be tempted to think He or she has finally gotten to a permanent place of barrenness
A desert, an arid land, a place of tears and harshness
In order to survive and not give place to despair, one then begins to hope
The Valley of Hope is filled with individuals like this
Trees cut down in their prime
Job 14: 7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
This was the message the Lord gave to me as we crossed over to 2024
I am happy to announce that that word did not fall to the ground
A lot of my brothers and sisters who had hitherto been single are beginning to send me messages about getting married and many of those who had been waiting on the Lord to have babies are now pregnant
The Bible did not state that water touched the tree that was cut down and that it sprouted again, The Holy Spirit highlighted this to me when He showed me that scripture
He said it was at the scent of water!
Scent: aura, bouquet, essence, odor, perfume, fragrance, incense, pheromone
The synonyms that popped up in my mind that day were numerous, but I settled for fragrance, in my mind
The Holy Spirit is the Fragrance of Christ
It was His presence in the Book of Genesis 1 that changed everything, I am glad to announce that The Season of Euosmia is here
The fragrance that makes the dead live again!
PS: Love stories are being written again
Wedding bells are ringing again
Dry wombs are carrying babies
Dead Semen are bursting with life
It is called rey’ach niycho’ach
(From the words Ruach: Spirit and Nuach: Rest)
The Spirit that brings rest or The Spirit that Satisfies
It has already started, and it started with me!
Who is this that rode upon the wings of Angels into the Light
Makeda, Chaviva, Euodia, The Queen of Greatness
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

Anointing and Knowledge II
We were having a Night of Glory service for the month of October 2019
A man walked in, he was bespectacled, sat at the front and looked quite frail
As expected at a point during the service the Holy Spirit took over as we began to minister to the Lord in songs and tongues
The Holy Spirit asked those who were sick in the congregation to step forward
A lot of people came and we began to minister to them
As a rule, I don't minister alone, every born-again Christian who has been established in righteousness ministers with me
The new believers among us stand to watch and observe as we minister as part of their training
The elderly and the young plus nursing mothers can sit but they are not docile participants or unconnected to the service
They pray along as the Lord ministers to them and through them
It is those who are joining us for the first time with expectations of a miracle that comes forward to receive the ministration of the spirit
That they will receive their miracle is not in doubt, but beyond the miracles, they must also be trained to walk in the reality of the new creation.
The man in question walked up to me and said "I am almost blind, i can barely see, this is why I am sitting in front. I have hypertension and my heart is not working too well, I live on too many drugs to count.
I am also indebted to the tune of millions and I have recently been sacked from my job
I came to receive divine help from God
I am a Christian and even an overseer in my church but there is no power, all the things I did for the church or with the church ended up in deep regret and more debts for me and my family
I had given up all hope before I heard about you
Please help me"
I prayed for him and then handed him over to Pastor @eyitayofelix who was standing to my right-hand side to get him filled with the Holy Spirit.
Within a few minutes, he was speaking in tongues as the power of the Holy Spirit came upon him
By the time the service was over he had removed his eyeglasses, thrown away his medications and was screaming and shouting Hallelujah all over the hall
A few days later he reached out to tell me that instead of being indebted the bank sent him a letter apologising to him because they owed him over 40 million naira in deductions on the mortgage he took from them to buy his house
They did an audit and it was discovered that instead of 90 million Naira which they ought to take in bits from his salary as a banker over the last twenty years, they had taken 130 million Naira
They stopped all the deductions immediately and told him to write a letter to them requesting a refund of 40 million Naira
He almost went crazy when reading the letter and he brought the letter to me so that I could read it myself
I gave glory to God
I have never doubted for once the efficacy of the power of God, I have not only seen it, I am walking in it and so are all my brothers and sisters in the fellowship
Ours was not a church setting, there was no clergy and there is no laity
We are all prophets, priests and Kings!
This man told me he wanted to join our fellowship
I told him we have a school where he will learn the ways of the Lord for three months and then we have practicals where students of the school are allowed the free room to minister to others and depend on the Holy Spirit to lead them in healing the sick, prophesying accurately, giving words of knowledge and wisdom and manifesting all the gifts of the spirit
I have always believed that every believer who is full of the Holy Spirit can walk in all the gifts of the Spirit as Jesus did
Apostles Paul, Peter and John didn't just have one or two gifts
They walked in the fullness of the Godhead bodily
I am a teacher and I demonstrate all the gifts even though I am partial to teaching because that is my calling
That a believer is strong in a gift does not mean he or she is not capable of walking in another gift when it is required of him or her to do so by the Holy Spirit
It is the Holy Spirit that does all the work in a believer as He wills
Jesus testified to this in the scriptures
John 14:10-12 The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
The man agreed to join the school and he became a very serious student
He was always in our class on WhatsApp and Zoom and soon enough he began to demonstrate the power of God effortlessly
He healed his niece who was living in his house and had been bedwetting for twenty-three years right in his sitting room
She was totally set free till today
He began to lay hands on the sick and they recovered immediately
He was older than me in age and I respected the grace of God upon his life immensely
He grew quickly and the testimony of the power of God in his life was evident for all to see
He became my brother and he is still my brother
By my brother, I mean, a fellow minister of the gospel
But remember that he was in a system before and there is a way they do things in that system
He told me himself that as a banker, sleeping with married women and single mothers was his thing
He said the single girls demand too much money but married women, especially those whose husbands live abroad or work far away from home would practically beg for sex when they find a discreet partner who will not complicate things for them
His former church where he was an overseer was a deeply religious one too and many things went on in that church that he told me himself didn't allow the power of God to flow among the brethren
He was in his fifties and for the first time he was enjoying perfect health and he was financially buoyant
He started a consultancy outfit and he started earning more money
He was also a very traditional man, in that, he believed age and experience made him superior to all of us since he was way older than all of us
He was a very good politician, this was something he learnt in banking and he could easily manipulate people and events to go his way
I didn't notice this at first and I mistook his ambition for being zealous for the lord
I made him the head of a unit and ordained him too soon as a pastor
He became rude and would talk down on his fellow ministers as if they were his subordinates
It was the same approach they had in the banking sector that he was employing in the ministry
He would boast that they should go and ask about him in so and so bank, he does not take slackness and would not tolerate any act of indiscipline
This was not the way I lead and certainly, it was not the way Jesus led
We had a crusade in Ibadan and he went with some members of the team because I couldn't attend
He began to talk to his fellow saints as if he was more anointed than them
"Let me lay hands on you and bring you the husband you have been praying for"
"I am anointed, let me lay hands on you and take away your depression"
I got the report and realised I had made a mistake
I had assumed that the anointing with all the results I saw was enough evidence to make him a leader
1 Timothy 5:22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, (this is not laying of hands to heal the sick, it is laying of hands to ordain someone into ministry) and do not share in the sins of others (Sharing in the sin here means If the person begins to misbehave, people will them complain and bring the matter to you as the one who ordained the fellow). Keep yourself pure.
I had neglected the place of mind renewal
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
An anointed person without proper training is going to resort to the pattern of this world which he had learned and mastered over the years and therefore would begin to misuse or abuse the anointing not deliberately but simply because that is the pattern he had known and mastered all his life
I decided to remove him from the position of leadership with immediate effect but I didn't want him to be hurt or embarrassed, so I created a small team of mature believers and moved him there as the team lead for that evangelism team
He saw this as a demotion and came complaining to me
I told him it is not by the number of people you are leading, it is by the quality
I knew he wouldn't be able to misbehave with the new team because they were all mature believers who would gently call him to order when he missteps
The next thing he did was to come to me to announce that he would be starting his "own" ministry
He said God used the mouth of one of the ministers to ask him when he would be starting his own and he saw this as the Macedonian call.
I said it was okay.
So he went off and started his own ministry and then would steal testimonies from our platform, relabel them and publish them to attract people to his ministry
So I had from removed from all our platforms
He would usually then use some of our ministers to minister on his platform, I told all of them not to minister on his platform anymore
I was not being petty, I knew he had no ministry outside of pride
I wanted him to ride that horse of pride until he saw that all there is was empty air
He was attending a church all this while, it was through my influence that he began to minister in that church
I told the pastor of the church all that had transpired and asked him to be wise in his dealing with this brother of ours
The pastor noted it
A few months later, I got a report that he had started chasing two married sisters in the church whose husbands were working out of state with the intention of sleeping with them
The sisters reported the matter to me directly as they were mature believers
I took the matter to the pastor of the church he was attending
The pastor confronted him with the issue and he flared up, stating that it was a conspiracy to spoil his good name
I knew it was not a conspiracy based on my previous discussions with him when he first came to Christ
Old habits die hard and I had also seen him looking at one of those two ladies lustfully on one occasion when we were having a hangout
He told her that day that he knew the part of her body he would touch that would make her shiver because her husband had not touched that part before
I heard him saying that jokingly to her
I didn't say anything because at that point it would be seen as overreacting.
He became so unruly and abusive towards the lady that dared to speak out that the lady stopped attending the church
When I heard about it, I removed him from all the church's platforms online and wrote him officially never to attend the church again
The pastor of the church also suspended him
Of course, he came back at me and the pastor with everything he had which was nothing
He posted my pictures on all his platforms and labelled me the antichrist and a heretic teacher
I ordained him so I must accept it with grace
Whenever anyone sees his posts and forwards them to me, I will tell them to block him on social media so that they don't see his posts anymore
I was the one who made the error in judgment, I cannot dodge the bullets, so I steeled my heart to receive it with grace and not to reply to him at any time
Months went by, then he found himself in a position where he needed our help
He was too proud to ask but we were too loving not to offer
He was gracious to receive our extended hand and we were able to kiss and make up without any more rancour
He still heads his ministry with our blessings and we hold ours in peace!
I share this story to explain to many of us the dangers of being lacking in knowledge as an anointed minister of the gospel
It is possible to have knowledge and make mistakes here and there as you grow in your walk with the Lord, you will know and correct yourself as you adjust over time but to be anointed without knowledge means you will believe you are right even when you are in the midst of the greatest error of your life
You will find it difficult to admit the truth or see it even when the Lord is talking to you about it
Your carnal knowledge, combined with the Holy Spirit is a recipe for disaster
1 Corinthians 8:1 We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. 2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves God is known by God.
Wrong knowledge makes one proud, the right knowledge makes us grow in love
The wrong knowledge came from the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the entire fruit of that tree was not of God and poisonous to us
The right knowledge is the knowledge of God and we can only know God by knowing His son Jesus Christ, when we know Jesus we grow in the reality of eternal life effortlessly
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
PS: Do a practical test today, put Jesus on one side and put Moses on the other side, then ask yourself, is my pastor more like Moses or more like Jesus.
Please be honest in your assessment.
The do the same for yourself and please be brutally honest
The person you or your pastor has become more like, is the person you or your pastor is growing in the knowledge of
I love you,

@Tunde_OD I am rooting for you with all my might. I play chess and I love what you are doing with the game all over the over the world.
This record you are breaking is astounding
Well done, sir!
Believers who have not supported Mr @Tunde_OD should do so now, Critical thinking (Pronesis) is important in this generation and a lot of folks lack it.
Chess enables your mind to think far beyond its natural limits and this helps us understand the gospel beyond dogma!
I love thinking Christians and i also raise thinking Christians, chess helps those who know it to think and make decisions based on fact and not on sentiments!
Please support and donate, encourage this hero of our time to achieve his goals
God bless you
The Banquet
(This is a supernatural memo, coded for the called, a mystery to the crowd)
I share a banquet table with friends all the time
We are having that kind of a year
A year of feasting
We will usually have a fellowship meeting and as the meeting is ending we will most likely be heading for a feast
We dine at the best restaurants and company is always splendid
We were fulfilling prophecy and bringing hope to a nation that somehow found itself trudging through a season of famine
It is logical for the church to declare a fast in the time of famine
The Lord told us in January 2023 that we are coming into an eight-year period of abundance
Nothing we see in the physical and our environment suggests it
But we have seen a prophet fed by ravens in the season of famine
We have seen a widow and her son sustained by the word of a prophet
We have seen another widow producing several drums of oil out of a little bottle
We have seen thousands fed by a few loaves of bread and some fishes
We have seen words spoken in the middle of the night producing a city in two years
We cannot look at the prevailing wind on the outside
We have to observe the wind of the Spirit dominating through us on the inside
As I sat across the table at the latest feast we had, the Lord began to speak to me
He said "Don't eat and drink in this feast, don't also engage your friends in a conversation. Just sit still and observe the radiance in the faces of my children.
And then the table we were sitting on, which was not so big began to expand in my sight and it became a whole banquet hall
(Now we were at a party and we had our own table, so this was not a restaurant or an eatery)
Obviously, now I was seeing a vision
So I sat there
The Lord said look at the tables I have prepared before you, be sure I have forgotten no one
(Now I don't know every member of the ministry personally, I am however familiar with many and I began to look around the table for them. I was sure if I could find them, they, in turn, would be able to account for others who are in their teams or their immediate sphere of influence. That way, everybody will be accounted for)
On that first table, I saw names carefully written on golden place cards, placed on the table in front of each seat, so that everyone knew where to seat
Surprisingly everyone was present at this feast, including old friends and even some whom I had lost contact with or fallen out with due to one reason or the other
The room was filled up to the last name, for everyone invited to this feast was present
It was a feast with the King, none dare turn it down
Then the Lord said "Walk with me as I walk in the midst of my people"
Then we began this walk through the hall
For every table, as we walked through, the guests would stand and the Lord would greet them one by one by name. In some cases, he would mention things about them that made their faces brighten up especially because it showed them that he was mindful of them and he remembered intimate details about them
We got to a table and the Lord turned to me and said "Now, cheer up, why were you looking gloomy?"
I said "Oh, it is because of my friends, the ones that saw you and brightened up but when they saw me they looked disappointed"
The Lord said "They loved you much more than most. What you saw in their faces was not a look of disappointment, it was a look of concern and hurt that came from a place of love"
"How can I make it right?" I asked
The Lord didn't say a word, he just walked on, smiling. shaking the hands of some and tapping the shoulders of others before engulfing them in his warm embrace
Then he looked at me and said "Cheer up then, this look does not befit a feast, why are you sulking?"
I was not sulking, I was about to do that justifying thing that we do when we need help after trying to solve difficult puzzles by ourselves and discovering that the puzzles were more difficult than we envisaged.
I was about to vent my frustrations
The Lord said, "Alright then, out with it..."
I said "I miss my friends, I have managed to keep many but I have lost some along the way. Some had kept me at arm's length and I have kept others at arm's length deliberately. Some wanted more attention than I could spare them and others whom I gave my attention abused it and used that privilege to hurt me while pretending they cared.
It was the most challenging bit of my journey and It hurts
The Lord said "You lot and your sentiments, it is what makes you so unique among all of creation. The fact that your weakness is also your strength.
He was like God and yet wanted to be like God, a paradox, don't you think?
She was loved and yet she was craving for love. He tells her he loves her, and she knows this to be true but the kind of love she craves is not the kind of love he is offering
He was offering the stable, responsible and encompassing love of a husband, she was craving the hot, passionate, quickened and reckless love of a lover
She knows the second love is not sustainable or reasonable and without the first love, she wouldn't even dare to crave the second because it was the first love that brought her to the place of fulfilment that led her to even crave the second.
She takes the second and then it dawns on her, like a child who wishes his mother dead only to discover after her mother had died that she could not wish her back to life, that she was satisfied with the first and was only consumed by lust for the second
Lust ruins love and so she lost out on the real because she was chasing an illusion
This has always been the undoing of your kind
You want the past to be present and you want the future to be present while also desiring the present to be present
You forget time is a continuum and until you have come to a place of timelessness, it is the coming and the going of people into and out of your life that marks the beginning of eras and their ending
You must learn to deal with this and to master it
Now cheer up, we have much ground to cover before the feast begins"
Sometimes being with the Lord, even in a vision is a mind-boggling experience, you expect your spirit to have instant comprehension of all things but you find yourself reeling at the depth of His unfathomable wisdom for months after your encounter with Him
We got to a table, there were eight seats and all of them were empty
Curiously enough all the place cards were present and the table was of another colour and shade of gold than the rest
The Lord said "Here, in this banquet, I have invited some witnesses, they know this terrain and their insight can be of great help to you in those areas where you struggle, especially in dealing with issues of your fellow saints and those who yet to be saints but have been drawn into the same space with you"
Just then the witnesses arrived and the Lord hugged them as they sat one after the other
There were seven of them, even though there were eight chairs
The Lord said "Always keep a seat unoccupied at their table, they do not stand to talk to the saints and when any saint approaches their table, he must be seated in silence in order to learn of their wisdom and glean of their experiences.
They know the question but you must learn how to get the answers in silence.
By this time we were back at our table and the feast began in earnest
I heard a voice saying "They are calling us to a dance" and I came out of the open vision
There was music and conversation all around me
We stood up to dance
Before I arrived at the event I had been driving all about the venue thinking about a particular puzzle I sincerely wanted to solve
It had been on my mind for over a year and I was determined to resolve it once and for all
As soon as we stood up to dance, I realised the puzzle was gone from my heart
It didn't have the kind of weight it had before that moment
It just lost its power to matter
Awesome.
The dance was good
I felt like I was in a crowd for hours after
I mean hours after I had left the event and gotten back to my house
The presence of the feast and the feasters, the banquet and the witnesses were still as real and as heavy as it felt when I was at the party.

PS: We will be having our Banquet of Praise tonight
All those He had joined unto me in fellowship were fully accounted for
Praise be to the One who is walking in between the Menorah (The seven golden lampstands while appraising His church)
It is the Month of April and today we have our global communion service
It is not religion, it is a lifestyle
So we do tonight's communion service in style
We will pray in the Spirit, we will read the scriptures, we will share testimonies to His praise and then we will break bread
There is a secret to how soft the earth has been under our feet as we followed the leading of the Holy Spirit in all that we do
There is a secret to our prosperity as a fellowship of His Kind
We do the things of the Spirit as it is done in the Spirit and as taught by the Holy Spirit
Make sure you have your communion emblems or even a hearty meal close by
Psalm 50 will be the light as we ascend to the place of His feet
Read it and meditate on it throughout today
The deep has called, let the deep answer

About a year ago, I embarked on a journey to London from Manchester
I had with me two travel bags and two phones
I was to take the train from where I was in Manchester to Sheffield and then from Sheffield to London
Somewhere on the trip my iPhone 13 got lost
I didn’t even notice it was lost until I got to my hotel at woolwich
I didn’t have an iPad or a Mac device so it was impossible to track the phone
I forgot about it and moved on
About a week later we went for the GSWMI London Bridge CSR event.
During the CSR event I saw a shop where they were selling iPhones and I bought iPhone 14
When I got back to my hotel, I set the phone up and I went into the locate my device option
Lo and behold I located my iPhone 13 on the app
A week later on my return journey to Nigeria out of Manchester airport I travelled by train back to Sheffield
The phone literally led me to the “Lost and Found” office at the Sheffield train station
I told the women in the office I lost my phone and would like to pick it up
The woman checked through the pigeon holes and located my phone, she turned on her computer and asked me what I used as my screensaver
I told her it was my picture
I was wearing a white hoodie and a blue jeans and holding a microphone
She smiled and gave me the phone
A few months later I was at another hotel in Gatwick, I was due for a flight to Aberdeen the next day
I went to have lunch at the restaurant and the lady at the reception looked at me intently
She said, I remember you
I said “Me? I just came in from Nigeria yesterday
She said “You were the one with the miracle phone”
I said “No, I am not, you must have mistaken me for somebody else.
She said “No you are the one, the one who came looking for your phone at Sheffield in March this year
(This was the last week of July)
I said “Oh, yes that was me”
She said “The day I returned the phone to you, I was wondering if you were an MC or a comedian or a musician because I saw your screen saver and you were holding a microphone in the picture”
When I got home I started telling my husband about my day in the office and I mentioned you. The moment I mentioned you my husband began to shiver and he started feeling chills all over. Next thing I know he was being rushed to the hospital. He had always been frail of health due to the tumor he had in his brain.
By the time they tested him at the hospital, tumor had disappeared.
My husband would later tell me the man in the phone touched his head and took the tumors out while I was talking to him.
It was all so strange
We moved to London as soon as he recovered his health because he was working with London Fire Brigade before he fell ill
It was his illness that made me decide to move us to Harlan Sheffield so he will be close to our family members.
He resumed his full duty on in June, I got this job and I resumed just last week.
And I am seeing you again today, how much of a coincidence is that?
I told her I came in with a brother and sister and while we were waiting to check into the hotel I told them that I had a vision some months ago in which I saw the three of us in that hotel.
I didn’t remember the details of that vision but it was a deja vu moment for me.
She said “Is this normal to you? Do you get this kind of reaction from people all the time?”
I said “Yes”
She said “Please give me a minute”
She dashed into the hotel and returned a few minutes later with an envelope, in it was £200
She said “I want to give you this, I am not a Christian, my mother told me the Bible is a story book and a fairytale but meeting you has changed my life and that of my husband.
We are Christians now and we attend a church at Horley
Please accept this, don’t reject it. I just feel like blessing you with it.
I accepted it and blessed her
The next day, as early as 6am, I heard a knock.
It was this lady and her husband
They came to say thank you and take pictures with me.
Later that day I checked out and found my way to Scotland
The gospel changes lives!

Meet the Parents
There are tribes in Nigeria that are mean to women marrying into their families by nature
Their daughters are quite loud on X and they always throw words like patriarchy, misogyny etc about even though the wickedness in their heart is second to none
They are the loudest voices when it comes to feminism
The reason they are feminists is not because they like the idea of it but because of the situation they found themselves in as a result of their tribes approach to marriage and relationship issues
It is the only way they can fight the tradition that surrounds their origin
Other tribes have their issues too but with some tribes these issues are so prevalent and predominant, it has rendered many of their ladies husbandless (Not loverless)
I know a very world-renowned Nigerian woman from that part of Nigeria whose younger brother or nephew brought in a fellow graduate of law from the University of Abuja home for marriage
While this woman was working at a very highly rated global establishment, her nephew and family members were still struggling to make ends meet in Nigeria
The Nephew had a girlfriend who had supported him throughout his university days
She paid for their accommodation, feeding, handouts, everything
They lived together in her apartment because he couldn't afford to rent a place of his own
When his aunt was made a minister in the Obasanjo cabinet at the time, the whole family rejoiced
Finally, they had a beacon that is shinning in the high places of power and influence in Nigeria
They graduated form school, went for NYSC and eventually he decided he would bring this young lady home and introduce her to the family
Family here means especially this aunt of his and hen his parents and other relatives
This aunt of his had become the head of the family automatically due to her influence and financial strength
He targeted when this aunt of his would be home so that she can give her blessings to the union
The aunt saw this young woman, her name is Sarah
Sarah is from Niger, I believe (Nupe) Tapa tribe
This aunty who was Harvard-educated and had lived abroad for several years put this lady through the ringer
The lady washed clothes, grinded pepper and beans on the traditional stone grinder, cooked and cleaned and laboured hard for a week
After the week the aunty gave her nephew 20,000 Naira as he was leaving with Sarah
She told her nephew that if he married Sarah she will never be of any help to him all his life
He should just forget he has a family
She is the star of the family
The one the whole family hung their hope on
The guy broke up with Sarah after explaining that he dared not act against the interest and the wishes of his aunt
His aunt had decided that he must pick a wife from their tribe and not a lady from another tribe who does not speak their language or understand their culture
Her crime was neither being uneducated or being rude or not knowing how to handle herself when it comes to keeping a home
Sarah is still alive and well.
She lives in Abuja and she told me this story herself
She is happily married now to a Christian brother with three sons
There is another tradition from these tribes that is very pronounced in the way they treat women
Their husband's properties and all his belongings cannot be inherited by the wife
They keep all documents away from her and would rather marry her traditionally than in court so that she will not have access to the belongings of her husband
The woman is always the outsider and they believe if she inherits their son's wealth after all the investment they had put in their son, she will just carry everything and use it to help her own people
One of them once argued with me on X, that his brother is a businessman and very rich but if he dies, the property by right should come to him and not to his wife because he will then be able to take care of the wife and the late brother's children but if it goes to the wife, it means he will never be able to access his late brother's wealth and she can do anything she desires with it
There is a third one, the way some of these tribes receive their wives to be
When a man brings home a wife to introduce to the family, she immediately becomes everybody's errand girl
They will pile clothes for her to wash (By they, I mean the brother's sisters and mother)
Sisters who are educated, of averagely the same age with her and with almost a similar level of exposure
On X they will be crying about Patriarchy and Misogyny and woman-abuse
In reality, they are the chief abusers of their fellow women
A lady once told me that she and her brother are sharing a room in Lagos
Her brother pays the rent and she sleeps on the small bed on the floor
Then her brother got a girlfriend and whenever he brought the lady home to have sex with, she will have to sleep in the passage
When the brother then took the same lady to the village to introduce to the family, she and her sisters plotted to punish the lady very well for how her brother treated her whenever she came to his apartment in Lagos
The room they gave the lady to sleep in became their play pen
They broke the door knob and could go into the room anytime to do anything they wanted to just make the lady's life difficult
They gave her chores to do until one day she started crying in pain and they all started laughing for joy because they broke her spirit
This same lady was always complaining when she met her boyfriend
She didn't want to be treated the same way she had treated others and was quick to say she cannot take rubbish from his younger ones and mother
Her relationship failed several times and she is now one of the radical feminists online always preaching about men being mean to women
There are so many things that just claiming patriarchy, misogyny and other labels can't really cover
I know a case where the wife-to-be that has been brought home to be introduced to the family cooked, served the dishes, packed plates, washed plates, cleaned the whole house and washed clothes for everybody just because she wanted to marry a wife
And this is not them being mean, this is their tradition especially because her family will demand a humongous bride price and their brother will have to cough out the money
The tribes in Nigeria are many and our cultures are diverse
Going to meet your husband's parents and claiming you cannot dress up for the occasion is foolish
We all watched the Royal Wedding in England recently and we saw how all the celebrities that usually would expose their bodies and wear tattoos and go about naked dressed very elegantly and conducted themselves like nobility for the occasion
If you have nose rings and tongue rings and piercings and tattoos everywhere and your man or woman has chosen to marry you, please for the sake of his or your parent's sanity, sacrifice that one day to cover them up and not wear the rings
If his or her family is highly religious, illiterate, conservative or closed minded, you should not spit in their faces and insist they must bend to your whims and caprices
Being respectful of other people's cultures and belief systems is important
Partners should prepare their partners for the kind of parents they have and the kind of home they came from
If you know your partner and his or her parents are not in good terms, you must try specially not to allow either side to use to score cheap points
Ask a lot of questions before you follow him or her home and make sure the information you get will help you to put the right feet forward
If you are marrying across tribes and languages, make sure you are open-minded and respectful
How they do things somewhere may be an abomination elsewhere
Make sure you avoid folks whose relatives are still very backward and have no enlightenment of modern life, especially if you are not village mentality inclined
Our people from the village have a very different way of thinking and they may end up asking you to do things that you will find very ridiculous
Modern parents are not so hard up
A man in the city will wake up to his son saying "Hi Dad or Good morning Dad"
A man in the village will wake up to his son prostrating and squatting to talk to him
If you know you can't cope with "villageness", don't marry Brother Ike who happens to be the first university graduate and the first member of his family to come to Lagos
You may love him but his family may never catch up to modern reality in your lifetime
Love covers a multitude of faults
If you love a man or a woman, no price is too hard or too much to pay for them
If you don't love such a person you will find yourself gritting your teeth and forcing yourself to carry out the obligations even if it only requires you to drink water

CHRIST IN ME
The very first time I prayed for someone over the phone and they were healed was a lady who reached out from Abuja. She was in a relationship with a man she loved, they started doing the do after a long time of refusing…
Defying The Matrix
A lady went to meet her 70-year-old father in the middle of the night
She was thirty-five years old at the time
She had waited and waited to get a suitor to no avail
It was supposed to come naturally but it didn't
Her father was a pastor, a senior pastor who had worked in a ministry for over thirty years
He has also been of help to many members of the ministry by virtue of the profession he retired from
He retired as a banker and he got many qualified church members into the commercial bank where he worked while he was in active service
He had serious connections and goodwill
Her persistent knock on her father's door was for two reasons
The first was because she was aware her father had a persistent heart problem which would most likely kill him soon
She wanted her father to witness her wedding
She knows if he was alive and active during her wedding the number of people that would come and the gifts she would get as the daughter of a prominent man would be awesome
Should he be dead, only a few people would turn up for her wedding and even then most of them wouldn't give her impressive gifts
The second reason was the fact that she had no suitor and had never had one
She felt if she troubled her father he would find a husband for her
Her marriage was his responsibility
Her father got out of bed and opened the door for her
His heart broke at the sight of his beloved daughter's tears
The girl had always been a tad behind her mates at getting things done
He noticed it from her childhood
Her issues had always taken extra effort as a norm
She didn't stop sucking her thumb and watching cartoon network till she was fifteen
She had to go through pre-degree school to gain admission into the University
Her CGPA were quite low and she graduated with a third class
Boys didn't take her seriously because she behaved generally like a child for several years
She was not a retard, she was only slow academically
Her mother didn't allow her slowness to affect her training in terms of cooking, washing plates, washing clothes and homekeeping generally
Even though they had maids at home, their mother insisted her children, both male and female, must be efficient homekeepers
There was little or nothing he could do about her struggle academically and socially but pray
He never expected that she would place the responsibility for her marital destiny in his hands at his age
He knew she desperately needed help
He assured her he would help her
The next morning he went for his prayer meeting with his fellow pastors
He tabled the issue before them and they all prayed earnestly that God would settle her in her own home and bring her a suitor that would be the perfect match for her
After this, he contacted the head of the pastor's seed fellowship of their church and told him to please be on the lookout for any potential man who is looking to get married
When he was done with the call, he called all the pastors who had worked with him when he was still in active service and impressed upon them the need to pray and also help out however they desired in order to get his daughter a husband
Two weeks later, the church had its annual convention
Pastors flew in from all over the world with their families for the event
His daughter caught the eye of a young man whose parents were Nigerians but were living in South Africa and pastoring in South Africa
The family had only two children
Their son was forty years old, he had a university degree from South Africa but had not been able to get a good job
He was teaching and doing home coaching for students in South Africa in order to make ends meet but he had not been able to earn enough to become independent financially
Marriage was still a pipe dream for him
He travelled down to the country with his parents for the convention
He didn't know anybody in Nigeria but he was determined to make the best of the experience by making friends and doing some "networking" as they call it
He met her at the youth centre and they got talking
She became his tour guide on the trip
She introduced him to all the who-is-who at the convention and they were almost inseparable throughout the week of the convention
It was the best convention she ever had
He didn't give her any indication that he wanted to date her but being with him and being seen with him gave the convention a different flavour for her
She revelled in it and wished the convention wouldn't come to an end
Two days before the convention ended
Her family had gone to the auditorium for service while the two of them were driving home from the kitchen with the food meant for the family
When they got to her father's house, they sat down to rest a little
She locked the door and drew the blinds
She held him by hand and led him to her room upstairs
Their clothes parted like the Red Sea
His rod budded and they rode each other like Balaam rode his donkey
Once she opened that gate, they couldn't stop
He was back again to ride her donkey to Jerusalem while she was screaming Hossanna many times
It was literally what they were doing when his parents sent his younger sister to come and call him that they had to leave for the airport if they wouldn't miss their flight
He left
She cried
Three weeks later
She discovered she was pregnant
She told her father
Her father told his fellow senior pastors
They told the elders of the church
The young man and his parents were summoned to Nigeria
The procedure of the church regarding such things was clear
The father of the child must be suspended as a pastor
The two children would be subject to disciplinary action by the church leadership
After their disciplinary period is done, the two families will sit down and discuss the way forward regarding the two people involved and the baby
When they got to the meeting, the father of the young man said his son was forty years old, not gainfully employed and unable to fend for a family
One of the elders said "I will give him a job"
Another said "I will give them a house"
Another said "I will give them a car"
The father of the young man said "We know we are suspended, so we will go and finish our suspension and then come back to discuss this"
One of the elders said "You are not suspended, your son is forty years old and we consider him to be an adult, we would like the wedding to take place as soon as possible and they cannot get married while suspended, so we have waived the suspension"
The mother of the young man said "They barely know each other, let her have the baby and they can continue their friendship until they are sure they want to be together"
The elders said "Isaac met Rebecca once and the two of them became husband and wife that very day"
The father of the young man said "What about holiness, what about God, what about fornication, the seed of sin, repentance and seeking the face of God for forgiveness"
The elders said "Those are for teenagers and young adults who cannot make sound decisions. How can we be accusing a forty-year-old and a thirty-five-year-old of such things? In saner climes, both of them should have finished having children already at this age. Let us tidy this thing up as soon as possible and put it behind us before it becomes a scandal"
They asked the young man and woman if they don't mind getting joined together that day with the elders as witnesses
Since both parents were there and so were they
They agreed
They were wedded that day
The young man was given a Honda Pilot and a job in a mortgage bank
He was also given the post of youth pastor at a church in Nigeria and a three-bedroom flat on the campsite of the church which was not far from his office
That was how the matter was closed to everybody's satisfaction.
The marriage now has three children
Try the same scenario with a pastor without money and influence
He will be suspended
His daughter will be embarrassed and suspended
The young man will be embarrassed and suspended
There will be no job for him
There will be no house
There will be no car
She will most likely end up a single parent and be used as an example to other ladies
She will be treated like a pariah all the days of her life if she does not change church
Religion is a control tool for the poor
You must get this truth and break away from its hold today
Jesus didn't give us religion, he gave us eternal life
He gave us the liberty of the Spirit and all the blessings that come with it
Look around you into all the religious organizations you know
The hypocrisy is glaring and jarring
Only the blind will refuse to see it
This was what made religion unable to save mankind from the beginning
It is still what makes religion unacceptable today
It is a double standard that nothing can cure
Salvation however is a one-way street and it costs nothing
Jesus has paid it all
All you need to do is believe this, accept the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and get filled with the Holy Spirit
Once you receive the Spirit of life and you begin to follow his leading, your life changes forever
The yoke of sin and guilt will forever be broken in your life
Spiritual attacks and all the enemy consciousness will be gone
You become a new man, spirit-filled and untouchable by the horde of darkness
Glory be to God!
PS: If you put Judaism, Islam and Organised Christian religion side by side, you will see that there is really no difference in all
Some adherents of Judaism does not believe in life after death while some do
Islam believes in life after death but paradise has to be earned by keeping the five tenets
Religious Christianity believes but life after death has to be earned by performance and observance of the law, moral codes and doctrinal hoops
Only Jesus stated boldly that he was going to prepare a place for those who believe in him and he required that we do nothing to help him accomplish this purpose apart from believing in him
Jesus completed the work at the resurrection
In Christ alone do we find true redemption that is free indeed.

You are full of the Holy Spirit
You are the prolongment of the days of Christ
Will be eating henceforth”
I said this in reference to the scripture where God said the serpent will be eating dust and moving about on its belly
It was a completely harmless statement meant to throw a jibe at him and call him a snake
(Not a recommended behaviour please, remember that this happened years ago and I am also growing everyday)
As we headed back to the church bus, I told the missionary to tell the villagers to take their buckets and kegs and return to the boreholes later that evening because there will be water
I was so convinced of this and when the missionary asked me what I meant by the instruction I told him the boreholes will flow with water again by the evening of that day
I left for Lagos
Two weeks later, the missionary and this man arrived at my office in Lagos
Water flowed as I declared but something else also started happening which I didn’t expect
Members of the household of that wanna be leader began to eat dust with their food!
I mean, they would have a plate of food in front of them and with their hand they will pick some dust and pour it in the food before eating it.
This was why the man came to see me
He wanted me to pray for him and release him and his children from this malady
I introduced him to Jesus and his family was set free
I also explained to him that I didn’t curse him, I had only underestimated the power of my words and totally forgotten that a believer should always say what he or she intends to see happen.
He got it.
I hope you got it too
The words you speak are spirit and life
You are not a wash out
You are not a victim
You are not a walk over
You have authority and you have power
You are full of the Holy Spirit
You are the prolongment of the days of Christ
Please live up to the status you have been given in Christ!
PS: The River is happening on Sunday 17th March by 2pm
We will be at RCCG Jesus Embassy, VGC
We will create a supernatural atmosphere with sounds of the Spirit and destiny defining ministrations

Seeking Right
He lived His life the way he wanted, he lived it without regard for God or His instructions and God watched him from afar. Then the enemies rose up against him, he couldn't find salvation in Himself and in all the strength of man he had shunned God for
He began to desperately look for God
He called prophets
He called priests
He called diviners
He called soothsayers
None of them could tell him the mind of God
He started fasting. some psalms and prayer points, just so that he could hear from God
He didn't repent or return to God to ask for forgiveness and threw himself at his feet pleading for mercy
No!
He fasted and prayed that God may speak
He acted like many of us do when we run to pastors who give us three days of dry fasting or ask us to bring money whenever we are facing any challenge greater than us
He acted like a stranger to the ways of the God of His salvation
He wanted the result but he didn't want to walk in obedience or humility
He didn't want to accept God's verdict on his situation
We all must learn from Saul, the son of Kish, the first King of Israel
And as we learn, we must adjust our ways today
Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in his own town of Ramah. Saul had expelled the mediums and spiritists from the land.
The Philistines assembled and came and set up camp at Shunem, while Saul gathered all Israel and set up camp at Gilboa.
When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his heart.
He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets.
Saul then said to his attendants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her.”
“There is one in Endor,” they said.
So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night he and two men went to the woman. “Consult a spirit for me,” he said, “and bring up for me the one I name.”
But the woman said to him, “Surely you know what Saul has done. He has cut off the mediums and spiritists from the land. Why have you set a trap for my life to bring about my death?”
Saul swore to her by the Lord, “As surely as the Lord lives, you will not be punished for this.”
Then the woman asked, “Whom shall I bring up for you?”
“Bring up Samuel,” he said.
When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out at the top of her voice and said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!”
The king said to her, “Don’t be afraid. What do you see?”
The woman said, “I see a ghostly figure[a] coming up out of the earth.”
“What does he look like?” he asked.
“An old man wearing a robe is coming up,” she said.
Then Saul knew it was Samuel, and he bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground.
Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?”
“I am in great distress,” Saul said. “The Philistines are fighting against me, and God has departed from me. He no longer answers me, either by prophets or by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what to do.”
Samuel said, “Why do you consult me, now that the Lord has departed from you and become your enemy?
The Lord has done what he predicted through me. The Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hands and given it to one of your neighbors—to David. Because you did not obey the Lord or carry out his fierce wrath against the Amalekites, the Lord has done this to you today.
The Lord will deliver both Israel and you into the hands of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The Lord will also give the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines.”
Immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, filled with fear because of Samuel’s words. His strength was gone, for he had eaten nothing all that day and all that night.
When the woman came to Saul and saw that he was greatly shaken, she said, “Look, your servant has obeyed you. I took my life in my hands and did what you told me to do.
Now please listen to your servant and let me give you some food so you may eat and have the strength to go on your way.”
He refused and said, “I will not eat.”
But his men joined the woman in urging him, and he listened to them. He got up from the ground and sat on the couch.
The woman had a fattened calf at the house, which she butchered at once. She took some flour, kneaded it and baked bread without yeast.
Then she set it before Saul and his men, and they ate. That same night they got up and left.
Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell dead on Mount Gilboa.
The Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua.
The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him critically.
Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.”
But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.
So Saul and his three sons and his armor-bearer and all his men died together that same day.
When the Israelites along the valley and those across the Jordan saw that the Israelite army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their towns and fled. And the Philistines came and occupied them.
The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and they sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people. They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths and fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.
When the people of Jabesh Gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, all their valiant men marched through the night to Beth Shan. They took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth Shan and went to Jabesh, where they burned them.
Then they took their bones and buried them under a tamarisk tree at Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.
PS: You have a lifetime to mend fences with God
Some of us wait till the final minutes of our lives to humble ourselves enough to seek God's help, and even then, we seek the wrong kind of help
We want to be healed, we want to be restored, and we want to continue to live life on our terms but we forget the most important thing, which is to repent and make right our way with God
Saul was seeking God for the wrong reasons
He had the opportunity to do the right thing but he didn't do it
Let Saul's life inspire you to make the right choices today
Turn to Jesus and tell him you want him as the Lord of your life
Remove the yoke of your current realities and take up the free gift of eternal life
Receive His Spirit and begin to walk in this Supernatural reality
There is no greater miracle to seek than this

Teleios
tel'-i-os

Teleios Definition
brought to its end, finished
wanting nothing necessary to completeness

that which is perfect
consummate human integrity and virtue
of men
full grown, adult, of full age, mature
Christianity in Africa and many parts of the world is unfortunately just a charade at the moment
The previous generation of Christian leaders did a great job of bringing the Christian doctrine to play against a predominantly pagan culture
Paganism was one of the dark realities that covered the African nation, the second was illiteracy (lack of enlightenment of the mind) which gave room to superstition, fear, ignorance, dark arts, and a general lack of progress due to fetishism
To combat the ills, western education was introduced to handle the illiteracy issue and christian religion was introduced to handle the paganism issue
The rest was expected to fall into place over a period of time
The believers produced in that generation were at best Nepios
They didn't really know the difference between the Old Testament and the gospel they were taught basically substituting the idols and practices of paganism with those of Christianity.
Herbalists were replaced by Pastors
Jujuman/Sorcerer was replaced by Prophets
Charms and totems were replaced by candles, soaps, perfumes, anointing oil, mantle, crosses, Holy water, the Holy Bible, etc
Incantations were replaced by memorized psalms, portions of the book of Isaiah, and other Bible verses
Worry points were replaced by prayer points
People rever and worship men and women of God today the same way they revered and worshipped dibias and their local priests of old
There was no real knowledge of Christ as it should be
A Christian who has truly come into the knowledge of Christ understands that only God is to be worshipped and does not see any man or woman of God as the intermediary through whom his or her prayer will be answered
He or she knows Jesus and not only strives to be like Him in character, but he or she also wields the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit to dismantle all the works of darkness effortlessly
It is not surprising to see Christians thronging to crusades today all over Africa with a mindset of delegating their success in life to God, blaming one enemy or the other for their current situation in life and wishing death on that enemy, not taking responsibility for their own life, lacking critical thinking and maturity in the manner in which they handle life and its affairs
Like the little children mentioned by St. John Divine in his books, they have remained Nepios in all their manifestations.
Engaging with Nepios in the 1980s and 1990s was part of the process of maturity, which was the level at which the Christians of those days operated
Most of their own Christian leaders were semi-literate, illiterate and averagely literate
It is expected that at that point a Christian can believe witches can afflict him or her because they live next door to many suspicious characters who were deeply rooted in fetishism
That generation has almost died out
Why then is this generation also believing in enemies and witchcraft?
They are simply continuing in the programming of the mindset and thinking pattern of their parents who raised them with the wrong consciousness
They have simply refused to consider the changes in the reality of the then as against the now so that they can review their approach to the Christian faith and see beyond the lens of a child
As Apostle Paul elegantly explained it to the Galatians, as long as they remained Nepios they would have to be subjected to the leadership of Guardians and trustees (men of God, Pastors, Bishops, Visioneers, general Overseers who act like demigods and rule over them in all things) even though they have been given the whole estate
When the time set by his father comes the Nepios will have to shed the toga of immaturity and take responsibility
Galatians 4: 4 What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2 The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3 So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces[a] of the world. 4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] 6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[c] Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
Taking Responsibility
Matthew 3: 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
John the Baptist was a placeholder like many of the spiritual leaders we are littered all over Christendom today
These placeholders are not building the believers up to be independent and mature, they have basically turned believers into their cattle and they are just milking them for profit
When Jesus came on the scene, John recognized him as the heir but at that moment John was the guardian
Jesus allowed John to baptize him and as soon as that was done he got filled with the Holy Spirit and took the responsibility of his role as the saviour of the world
He didnt keep following John about as John's disciple
He stepped into his role and fulfilled it
Today's believers need to be more like Jesus in this wise
We are too contented to delegate our spiritual responsibility to others and follow sheepishly instead of maturing and taking responsibility
The placeholders have also come up with doctrines that will keep them relevant and prevent the believer from breaking out of childishness into maturity
You hear things like "Your Pastor is greater than your biological father and mother", "Your pastor is higher in authority than your parents", "Your pastor is higher in authority than your husband"
"Your pastor is higher in authority than the Holy Spirit in your life"
"You are under a pastor's spiritual covering and anything can happen to you once you leave that covering"
"You must not do anything without carrying your pastor along, he is the one whose grace covers you and he must be in the know"
"Loyalty is everything, if you are loyal to your pastor he will reward you with spiritual backing and blessings"
"Follow the one who knows the way, be obedient to your spiritual leader and it will be well with you"
These doctrines are taught to keep the guardian in his role for longer than he or she should be
Alexander the Great was a pupil of Aristotle, he was taught and trained by the philosopher for some years before he began to rule
He was not a permanent student
If students don't graduate under a teacher, then the teacher has failed
Believers should begin to come to the full knowledge of Christ and establish their walk with the Holy Spirit to such a degree that they will live out the scripture as the prolongment of the days of Christ
Gaining Knowledge
There are things that were given to every believer the moment they gave their lives to Jesus Christ, five of which were written below
1) Eternal life
2)The name of Jesus
3) Baptism of the Holy Spirit
4) Authority
5) Power
There are things that must be learned in order to mature as a believer.
This is where knowledge comes in
Jesus also had to grow
Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.
Peter also admonished us to grow
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
In order to grow we must learn Christ and practice Christ
Not only in character but in the supernatural and in the metaphysical
We must heal the sick and raise the dead
We must dismantle the works of darkness fearlessly
We must hoist the flag of the Holy Spirit and the name of Jesus on every mountain and high place of this earth and the realms of the Spirit
We must do this through the Holy Spirit and the knowledge gained from the Word of God
The days of relying on oil blessed by one man or handkerchief laid hands on by another will soon be gone
The days of gathering and singing warfare songs that do not glorify God while claiming we are holding a crusade are petering out
Believers are not growing at the same rate, so some will still keep up with the old practices as they come into knowledge but you cannot remain in that one spot if you hope to truly fulfill and prolong the days of Christ.
Relationship
The key to living the supernatural life effortlessly is deeply rooted in cultivating a relationship of I in you and you in me with the Holy Spirit.
Many believers don't even know what that means, to them, the Holy Spirit is like a Christian term employed to deflect from taking responsibility for their own decisions or add legitimacy to any claim they are making in order to manipulate their listeners or audience.
I have seen a lady claiming the Holy Spirit told her someone is her husband (A married man), this obviously was her way of saying I am lusting after a married man religiously.
The Holy Spirit is not a spirit sent live a genie to give you your heart wishes
He is the Spirit of God, sent to dwell in you so that you can do the deeds of God effortlessly as a saviour out of Zion
We will be learning this too.
We will be teaching and learning Christ this Saturday at ECWA church, Ebutte Meta
We will be learning the supernatural realities of Christ in practicals as well as impartations
This is not a meeting to raise funds or feed any pastor's ego
This is a meeting where we learn and share that the body of Christ may grow and be independent of circumstances in this world.
Please make sure you attend if you can, this is the registration link
Hello Everyone,
Please RSVP with your registration so we can plan adequately.

Leadership, The First Born, and Joy
For as long as there was silence, Egypt felt it was right to keep Israel as a slave
The Bible recorded that the moment the children of Israel began to groan to God in prayer, a saviour was sent in the person of Moses
For as long as there was silence, Babylon felt it was right to keep Israel as a slave
The Bible recorded that the moment Nehemiah got news about the state of Israel and took to fasting and prayer for three days in order to plead his cause before the King, he set in motion a chain of events that led to the restoration of the nation of Israel, the rebuilding of the wall, the temple and his elevation as the prime minister of the nation
Silence can be wisdom
Silence can also be tacit endorsement of evil, especially when the silence comes from those with the power and influence to correct a wrong
When Mandela was in captivity, the world was silent for a while and then the people began to call the attention of the strong and powerful to the evil of apartheid through music, protests, and demonstrations
If they had kept quiet, the world would have ignored
The more they protested, the more uneasy the powers that be became and this eventually led to the release of Madiba
What about Martin Luther King Junior and the evil of segregation in America?
What about Risa Parks and the refusal to keep quiet in the face of obvious inhuman treatment and racism?
As long as silence reigned, evil reigned
Evil hates being challenged because it knows it has no legal standing
Good does not mind scrutiny, sometimes it takes uneasy decisions but defends it with it's transparency
To allow a despot, an abusive leader, and a tyrant who happens to be the first child in a family and insist such an individual should continue to lead his or her siblings even though the leadership of such has been divisive, abusive, unproductive, stifling and hateful in the name of he or she was born first (Unmerited and unearned leadership) is wrong
A tradition that encourages such leadership cannot be said to be either progressive or right-thinking
Proverbs 11:10
When it goeth well with the tzaddikim, the city rejoiceth, and when the resha’im perish, there is rinnah (joyful shouting).
Tzaddikim - Righteous/Upright
Resha'im -Wicked/ungodly
Rinnah - Joyful Shouting or shouts of Joy
It is one of the bane of the Yoruba traditional system of leadership which encourages age to lead even when it has been proven to be lacking in wisdom or efficiency
A young lady reached out to me about the conduct of her father's first son after the death of her father
The deceased was modestly wealthy and he married two wives
The properties the man left behind were set up to cater to the needs of both the children of the first and the second wife for life
They were all placed on salaries and the salaries came from the profit made from the businesses the man left behind
The first son who was placed in charge of coordination of this process started selling off the properties one by one
He was not selling them off to reinvest the money in other businesses or in order to share the proceeds with his siblings
He was selling them off the properties and spending the money on the vanities of life
The young lady stood up to him in a family meeting
He told her to go to hell
She came to me and I got her a lawyer
She said she didn't want to be the one to drag the family to court
I said you will be a victim if you dont challenge him in court
They went to court and he was made to refund every penny he sold the properties for into the family's account
Silence would have led the entire family down a path of regret
The longer you keep silent for tyrants, the longer your days of suffering
You must learn not to be quiet in the face of oppression
Wicked leaders create a wasteland and they call it peace or better put wicked leaders hate to be challenged and they would rather oppress their followers and pretend they are thriving than tolerate any voice that tells them the truth about what they stand for
When i was an undergraduate, i had a friend
This friend was a first-class student, she was gifted with a photographic memory and by every standard was going to graduate with a first-class from our set while we were in the university
She had a very bad habit
When she reads a book from our department in the library and finds it quite informative, she would then go and hide the book on the shelf of another department so that other students from our department won't have access to it
She does this so that when she quotes from the book, her quote will be unique and the lecturer will be impressed
When i found out she was doing this, i protested
It was wickedness
She was not going to get the first class by being brilliant, she was also trying to get it by denying others access to the right information
She didn't even see anything wrong with it
To her, all was fair in love and in war
There are leaders like that
Leaders whose only yardstick of success requires that those following them should not prosper in life
They want to always be the one everyone comes to for sustenance
They believe this is how to remain relevant
They want to be the biggest peacock in the room with glowing feathers
As long as they are richer and doing better than their siblings they consider themselves a success
Under the leadership of such, everybody suffers
You will never rise above them
If you have the potential to be a 50 and they are capped at 10, the best you will get to in life is 8
As long as you remain under such a leader
In Nigeria, being a first child attracts some spiritual sentiments that are at best silly
Churches hold special prayers for "firstborn" children and they quote scriptures upside down justifying why the first child ought to be better than other children
They say prayers like "May you not serve your younger ones"
This is a silly prayer because neither the first nor the last child was born to serve any child regardless of his or her position in the family
First-born children are put under undue pressure by ignorant parents and pastors when they create this mindset that makes them think because they came out of the womb first they had to be better than all the other children
This mindset encourages first children to be competitive and envious of their siblings
Sometimes they can go as far as to kill any star that is proving too difficult to dim among their siblings just so that it wouldn't seem to the world that they are unsuccessful as firstborn children
Christian Churches in Nigeria and those pastored by Nigerians all over the world need to change a lot of things if their teachings and services will truly represent and preach the undiluted gospel of the Lord Jesus
Every one of us who had become "born again" and are full of the Holy Spirit have willingly relinquished our physical position of birth in the flesh and gotten adopted into the lineage of Christ by the Spirit
There can be no "firstborn" in Christ
Jesus himself is the original firstborn and we all are his brethren
This is the gospel if indeed we are all born of the Spirit and not after the flesh
A sister had four younger ones and they were all wallowing in poverty
She was not particularly rich but she was the one doing better than the rest on every front
The other four basically look up to her whenever they need any form of help which never comes
Once in a while when she decides to help, she makes them jump through hoops in a denigrating manner
She was a banana tree in the middle of a marsh
One of her young ones decided to break away from her hold
She didn't even notice the turn until it was too late
A few years later, the one that broke away had become a huge forest
The banana tree didn't understand how an insignificant stump became a mighty plantation
It proved that once you can leave her shadow, you will thrive
Others saw this and made their own choices
Those who chose to leave her oppressive leadership thrived
Those who chose to stay under her oppressive leadership withered
It split the family into two factions
Over the years, the faction of the first child withered to nothingness
The faction of the blessed children thrived and captured the remains of the faction of the first child
Leadership affects followers in more ways than one
We all should learn this and save ourselves from the control of manipulative leaders whose sole intention is to subjugate others rather than support them to thrive and flourish
The picture above is a picture of the history of the world we live in
The devil stole the mandate of leadership from Adam and in his time darkness covered the earth and gross darkness the people
He led with a chokehold of pain and demonic influence
The whole of creation began to groan in pain
Then the light came
The glory of the Lord rose over the nations
Jesus was born
Christ was given
The one who called himself a servant leader offered a better leadership style than the dictator who ruled over the world before him
The world was split into two factions
Men and women who still stayed under the oppression of darkness continued to lose out to the tide of change
Men and women who embraced the salvation that Jesus offers and entered into his rest and eternal bliss
These two leadership styles continue to be evident and available all over the realm of men
Those who chose to walk in darkness and are subject to its demeaning reality and those who chose to walk in the light and are now shinning brighter than the noonday sun
Which side of the divide are you?

Honouring Agreements
They had a working arrangement
He was working with a manufacturing company at Ilorin
She was working as a temporary teacher in one of the secondary schools in Ibadan
Her goal was to raise enough money to further her studies abroad
For this reason, she didn't want to get into any complicated relationship or employment
She kept her eyes on the goal
She was determined never to get bogged down in a country where she was sure her dreams would not be fulfilled
After three years of working and saving, she realized her goals in life were far from coming together
She had applied over and over for scholarships and grants and whatever else that could help her achieve her goals
Most of the offers she saw were for PhD and second master's degree
She didn't know how others were doing it
She decided to do her master's degree
She felt by doing this, she would be better qualified to achieve her objectives
This was what led her to the University of Ibadan
This was how they met
She was the class representative of her https://t.co/cXmF5w7We2 class
He was a student in the class who needed information constantly as he was juggling his busy work schedule with the program
He asked for her phone number and she obliged him
He would send her messages constantly
Nothing romantic or even remotely close to it
She would reply to his messages promptly regardless of when she got them because she knew how busy he was
Whenever he came to campus for lectures, he would give her some money as a form of thank you
He would copy her notes and sometimes she would be the one to explain assignments, projects, and other tasks to him so that he could catch up
On some days he would have to spend the weekend in Ibadan
He usually would lodge in a hotel and they would meet at the restaurant of the hotel to discuss so that she could bring him up to speed
He was single, easy on the eyes, focused, dedicated and he was smart
He rarely attended class but by the time she was done explaining things to him he would have gotten it and would even be the one teaching her or showing her simpler ways to get things done
She liked his mind, she liked his ability to multi-task
He has an easy way with words, she finds him easy to talk to
She even understood his dark humor and sometimes would lay on her bed thinking of their time together long after he had returned to his base in Ilorin
They started having sex in a way she could not describe
She remembered they were on campus and it started to rain
She was wearing a sleeveless gown and the cold was pretty much
He gave her his jacket and by the end of the lecture he had left
She walked to his hotel to return his jacket
When she got to his door, he opened it and turned away
She followed him into the room and saw that he had an injury to his left leg
He had been bleeding and was treating the wound
She asked him what happened
He said he hit his leg against a nail that was jotting out of a locker in the lecture hall
She immediately swung into action
He had bought penicillin, iodine, gauze, plaster etc
She just helped him treat and bandage it
He had lost some blood and when he fell back on the bed he slept off immediately
She cleaned up the room
Called up room service to deliver some food for both of them
Ate and then laid down beside him and slept off too
By the time she woke up, she was facing him
His hands were doing some crazy things to her
She opened her eyes and looked at him
His hands moved from the south upwards and she heard a pop
It was one of her buttons
She held his hands for a few seconds. trying to catch her breath
He gently removed his hands from her hand and unclasped her bra
She knew there was no going back at that point
He was not her first
It had been a while
Her body screamed for it badly
When they were done, she wanted to dress up and leave
He pulled her back into the bed and even though she resisted him in her heart
Her hands and body just surrendered without a fight
When they were done, she had some energy left
She sat up and decided to leave
He pulled her back a third time
This time she allowed him to spoon with her for almost an hour
When she was done with him this time
He slept off and so did she
They woke up the next morning with her head on his chest
She was in trouble and she knew it
Her mother had told her when she was younger that nothing kills the dream of a young woman faster than the sweet tongue of a man and her weak knees after making love to him
Her knees were weak, and she could practically see her dreams fading away
She could see another thing replacing the old one
She could see a husband and children
She was popping babies every year and was called Mrs somebody
She could see herself waiting for him to come home every night from the office and helping him to draw his bath
She panicked!
She wanted to get up, pack her things, and run
But his hands were roving again and her body was betraying her again
It was as if she had no will of her own
She did not even recognize herself at all
It was as if the reasonable, measured, and sensible woman had been replaced by a senseless tramp
That was where they spent the whole of that Sunday
On the bed, doing see-saw and Jack and jill
When it was midnight on Sunday, she woke him up
She said "I cannot pretend I didn't like what happened in the last two days
I cannot also say I do not want it to happen again
i really would like to be this happy all the time
So this is my condition to continue seeing you
We will never talk about marriage, children or settling down
You can never leave me or cheat on me
I will be the one to walk away on my terms when i am ready"
He didn't know what to say
He was thinking in another direction
He had been out of any form of relationship since his ex-girlfriend left him five years before then
He decided he would work hard and make money so that the same fate would not befall him twice
The https://t.co/cXmF5w7We2 programme he got into was in a bid to improve himself academically
Professionally, he was right where he ought to be in terms of his career
He was ready to get married
She was the only woman he wanted to be with
He would have had the talk before they became intimate
The sex thing was just instinct and needs
But the things she said afterwards were confusing to him
He expected her to say "Now that you have slept with me, you have to marry me"
He had never heard a woman say the things she said before
He told her he will have to think about it
She dressed up and left
When he got back to his station he took time to consider her terms again
Then he called her and asked her for context
What was it she wanted out of life and how could he be of help to her in achieving this goal?
She told him she wanted to relocate to the United Kingdom
And the first step was for her to get her masters
She did not want to lead anybody on by getting into a relationship and for this reason she had avoided going into a relationship for years
What happened between them made her realise she needed to be in a relationship but she wanted an understanding partner who would not hurt her or dump her but would support her and be willing to let her go when it was time for her to move on
He thought about it and agreed
She became his exclusive babe
They set a two-year target for her to travel out of the country
He felt the two years would also help him sort out some life goals and prepare him for his future
They worked hard together
She got the admission and the scholarship she wanted in a year
He supported her financially until she travelled
When she got to the United Kingdom, he called her once to be sure she had settled down
Then he cut off all communication with her and nursed his heartbreak
He had fallen deeply in love with her and her absence was a big gulf but in Nyesome Wike's voice "Agreement na agreement"
He took his annual leave from the office and decided to travel out of the country
It was exactly three months since she left
He was just getting over her and settling into life without her
He had a stopover at Doha
A lady approached him
She asked him for directions on getting to the next flight
He discovered they were both on the same flight
They got talking
By the time they landed in Belgium, they were friends
She was a medical student at a Romanian University
Her family lived in Belgium
She volunteered to be his tour guide and they had a good go of it
Then he decided to visit France and Italy and she said she would pay her way but she would like to tag along
It was a month of sheer bliss
They took loads of pictures and their friendship was platonic
He told her he was just getting out of a relationship and she did not want to be a victim of a man trying to sort things out after going through so much emotionally
So they kept things at bay even when sometimes they both knew it could head in another direction
When he returned to Nigeria from the trip, he posted the pictures all over his social media and status
Two days later, she was in Ilorin
Not the one in Belgium
The one that just went to the United Kingdom
He got home from the office and she saw him sitting on his balcony wearing a pair of black sunglasses with traveling bags piled up all over
He was alarmed
What happened?
She said "You couldn't even wait for me to be gone before you discarded of me like some trash.
I returned from class and saw you all over Europe making a fool of yourself all over social media
Did you share pictures of the two of us this way in the two years we were together?
Did you celebrate our last trip abroad this way?
I couldn't believe it
So you are capable of loving a woman like this?
You are capable of public display of affection?
You are capable of being romantic
I kept wondering what i didn't do right and why you would treat me like someone you dont want to associate with in public
I bought a ticket immediately and decided to come here
Let that woman come here and meet me
Let her come and claim my man while I am still alive
I dare anybody to come and tell me any form of nonsense
You have really hurt me and It is unfair"
He held her as she cried
He didn't know what to do or what to say
He dated her the way she wanted
Everything was on her terms and now everything was his fault!
He explained to her that the lady was not in Nigeria
He told her the full story and assured her he had not been with another woman since she left
She said she was not doing the Ph.D. in the United Kingdom again
She will do it in Nigeria
She said she now wants to get married and have children
He was just looking at her as she went into the room, changed her clothes, and asked him if he would be coming to bed
He shook his head and followed her
The End
PS: They were married three months later
She recently completed her Ph.D. program in Unilag
She shared their story with me while I sat with the family to celebrate her graduation with her, her husband, and their two children
She said she couldn't explain what happened to her but the moment she saw him with another woman she realized he was her husband and if she did not marry him, she would most likely never get married
He said he had never been able to tell anybody the story because it would make people think his wife was irrational
I laughed
Irrationality is an emotional quality
Feelings are irrational
Men are all learning to understand women daily
