A lot of people havenโt actually learned how to be alone. Not in the healthy, grounded way where solitude is peaceful and nourishing but in the raw, confronting way where silence feels like rejection, and stillness feels like abandonment. So much of what people call โconnection seekingโ is really just survival. Itโs the instinct to not be alone at all costs. To avoid that hollow feeling of being unwanted, unchosen, or unseen even if it means self sabotaging in the process.
Thereโs a new food delivery spot in Memphis called Baby Shower Plate that serves baby shower food โwithout the babyโ ๐๐๐ if you wear Burberry, you get a percentage off your plate. I think thatโs a genius concept, tbh @babyshowerplate
As a Sagittarius, I may fight the commitment-phobe allegations, but I had to have a real deep look at myself recently and realised I am. I can see it based on the types of people I gravitate towards (intentionally get with people that I later can have reasons why it wonโt work because theyโre a mess anyway). I have deep fears about losing my autonomy, changing my mind about commitment, wondering if the grass is greener on the other side and being responsible for someone else. Moment I think about getting close to someone, I get turned all the way off and thatโs why I go for more nonchalant people :)
