league of legends update:
forcing myself to play into stream snipers all day for months on end has taken a serious toll on my mental health.

I thought they would eventually stop, thought i could escape them, thought maybe riot could help, but it seems they have an endless source of throwaway accounts and unlimited time to ruin my ability to play the game normally and torpedo any ranked game I'm in.

to give @riotgames credit they did actually take action on a many of offending accounts which i appreciate. unfortunately their system is manual and slow (days) and the snipers just have more accounts ready and waiting after bans.

the combination of trying to learn the game, on a dead region (OCE), at a dead time (4am), whilst streaming to a sizable audience... makes for a very unique situation where any attempt of sniper avoidance is futile. it's effectively a public match where anyone who wants to join into my ranked game, can.

"just get good" etc, It doesn't matter how good you are when they are on your team following you around taking XP/CS and also INTing on cooldown.

it's not even about winning or losing. Often the snipers will reverse int by trying to annoy me in lane all game by going top as support and just throw the game for their team, well cool, -30mins of my life. over and over this happens, joke games where half the people in it (the same few individuals) don't care about winning or losing but how much attention they can get by any means necessary.

one more thing that destroys my mental health, to the point where i feel like I'm going insane, is the group of chatters that defend the snipers, or simply imply they don't exist. I'm sorry, but either you have to want to cause me to have a full-on mental breakdown (aka a hateful person) or have some kind of brain damage.

it got to the point today where forcing myself to queue into these snipers was causing me to have... "dark thoughts". and I'm talking much darker than my usual, "man i wana slam my head into the table" kinda vibe.

not that i would ever act on them, nor do i take these thoughts seriously, but FUCK. I didn't even know it was possible for a few individuals in a computer game, to make me so down about playing said game... that my brain starts spawning ideas of like: "why not just die irl? then nobody can snipe you anymore" LMAO 💀💀

I get my situation is super niche and unique and this problem doesn't exist if I live literally anywhere else in the world, or didn't stream in the middle of the night, or say i dunno wasn't some streamer andy broadcasting my games to thousands of people...

BUUUUUUUUUT @riotgames @RiotGamesOCE @RiotSupport PLEASE IMPLEMENT AN "AVOID PLAYER" SYSTEM LIKE DOTA2 HAS PLEASE IT WOULD FIX EVERYTHING. I COULD PLAY LEAGUE ALL DAY AND IT WOULD BE AMAZING NO SNIPERS, REAL GAMES!

anyways i know that will never happen so for my own well-being i'm probably going to avoid playing league until either a, riot implements some sort of player dodge system/anti sniper tech or b, I'm in a different region/time zone.
